Hi Lewis, Put your last 7 digits in one of the parts catalogs and it will give you the infor you need Might need to check the trade me diff think it is for an e36 type not a e46 could be wrong. The parts Cat give's 3.38.1, 3.45.1, 3.91.1 as the ratio's for a e46 318ti the last two are for auto's not sure if this would change being either a N42 or N46 model. The 318 and 316 ti's I believe have small case diffs. e36 ti have 3.38.1 manual, 4.44.1 auto.

Use this site either this http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog or http://realoem.com/bmw/select.do enter the last seven digits of your vin it will bring up the make model year etc. click browse parts think the section you want is vehicle trim then glazing should give you the options available for your car.

One Series things to look for when purchasing
allan replied to kwhelan's topic in TradeMe discussions
Have a chat to Paul (Kiwi 535) he owns a 1 series should have some helpful info. As Jon mentioned seems to be a compliance thing with certain makes to have to replace the rotor's, pads etc -
Hi Rex, Do you also see this EML next to the orange engine out line it may stay on or disappear if so would guess you have a dud purge valve.

BMW must believe they are the add shows it parked on a rocky outcrop with a beautiful mountain back drop some fancy words and music no tarmac road in sit. Taken with a large pinch of salt, sarcasm does abound.

An added cost to recover would be the transport from Welly to Auckland and it wouldn't be cheap either.
-
Would be a little careful putting up figures like those on an open forum big brother might be watching.

Hi, Have you checked both the radiator and hose connections for any fine crack's ( these parts become brittle and can give way no warning ). Have tried replacing the "o" rings on these before with other ones and it doesn't work the o ring gets hard and flattened such it cannot seal. It needs to be a new "o" ring of the same size dia and thickness even then their is no guarantee it will work I just bought a new hose in the end. A poor hose connection system all round in my opinion.

Hi, if it is of any help on the e46 the water runs off the windscreen either side in to a channel /duct formed by plastic panels into a collection piece which has a rectangular outlet does a 90 degree turn this then passes through the inner metal guard and is dumped into the space between it and the wheel arch liner in the same area as you have noted Yellow arrow . The size of the outlet is not very large and could easily get blocked with accumulated rubbish if not cleared and a sudden rush of water would not help your situation. Also if any of the joins on the channel are weak or leaking further trouble for you. Would remove the cabin filter housing and check the channels are clear as well it might give you a bit more space to check the complete drainage system out for any possible trouble.
