And style 42's are a pain in the arse to clean!
-
You want a timesert or an oversized insert. Spring style inserts (like helicoil brand are) can cause a lot of issues later. If you have the space, you can drill it bigger, screw in some threaded rod, then drill and tap to suit., VERY carefully.

Very mcuh better I had some on the rear of a Legacy - they were better than the good years on it prior - dunno what model the good years were though.
-
Welcome Ali! Actually - Dad has an E30 (he's had it for YEARS... 15 or 16 now). It's Blue too. On weaves - they look like 42's a bit
-
What's with the unrelated keywords... "I was on Trade Me looking for a (Chariot, Sunny etc) but found this 7 series instead..." Yeah... right.
-
Potentially a Nice old E30 at Turners (Christchurch)

Especially on E30's - odometer failure is relatively "common"... Plus - Kiwis are just as likely to have pulled the plug off, to "keep the milage down" and the value up. -
You want a tesla coil "deterrent": No-one will go near it I have a Mongoose in my VW van, and it's OK. The alarm is a bit quiet, but it seems to work well. It's set up to immobilse all sorts of things ont he van - ECU power, fuel pump etc. There are some alarms that will allow a car to be started, but cut the fuel 20 or 30 seconds after the car is started, if not propoerly disarmed - they're great, because a stolen car, stopped halfway through an intersection with the alarm blaring attracts a lot of attention

I was joking about the spouting, but not the garden edging
-
Errr... did it have a "750is" badge on it? and yet no M? I reckon someone should put this is an E34 touring... Oh right...
-
Garden edging from Bunnings. And some marley spouting for sideskirts. = ulitmate kit

It's funny how fallen through sales and hints of "dodginess" influence our decisions. I think you're right to walk away - somethings going on. When we were buying our Model A ford, there were cars we didn't even LOOK at, because they'd been on trademe too long... not even any dodginess, but you get a certain impression. That Commodore seems iffy - even if you factor in the amount of oxygen theifs using Trade me (as buyers), something is going on... surely. You might have to build one

That was LAST saturday!
-
Hmmm... they're metric, not 15's - there should be another number afterwards, which is the rim size - probably 415 from memory.
-
Pfffftt! Like that's ever stopped you before

We should start our own club -
Me too... The sound of the 6 is awesome too, and they're happier to rev, and rev higher. Still have to be manual though
-
Haha! My neighbour is a holden man, we had the race on in the background, at a get together at his place. I said how I liked the 90's WAY better, and he said the modern ones were boring too. Pretty much like driving back from auckland We decided the best way to liven it up, was to have half the field go the opposite direction to the other half

There is the secret - wait, while it soaks.

Plus... the 525i (the real one, with the M54, not the jap ones, with the M52 "523i" engine) are actually only marginally less powerful than the 528i, but have the better Vanos system. The 530i is easily the superior engine - that's what I would have got, but I've never seen a manual one in NZ. Of course, whatever it is should be manual, really. The autos suck.

Style 42's, 2 piece... awesome wheels! Car looks good too. Online catalogue pics often show the 1 piece style 42's, which are pretty smaverage. -
Find some 80's and 90's reruns - WAY more interesting The new ones are a bit ghey - basically all racing the same car with different engines in.
-
Excellent! I was very upset for a bit there You're on probationary trial for 3 months now.
-
You said brush. You're fired.
-
Oh yeah... the key you have *may* just be a light, not a remote - that's what Dad's E30 had.
-
In Dads E30, we put a cheap remote locking unit from Trademe in. I think it was $35. I fitted it in the boot, because you have a power supply, can hook up to the indicators, and tap into the boot locking to lock and unlock the car. Pretty tamper proof in there too!
