Oh no..head off sounds serious. What happened?
-
Nice bro. I hear your car more than I see it lol. Need to catch up
-
Same here, would be a much cheaper option. Think i might explore it further when I have some free time. Depending how hard it is to get the downpipe off
-
Haha once you get the common areas sorted I believe they're pretty reliable. You guys making me feel better about choosing the N55 ?
-
Oh woops the angle of the photo got me. But it's just hard to guess without having a good look, that area seems to be where the oil runs and collects so it'll be a guessing game without having a proper look
-
Could be from a few different places, mine was also dripping from the same sort of location when the oil filter housing gasket failed. I think you also have a n55 not n54

Yeah i've run the re-003 and eagle f1's previously and personally preferred the re-003's in terms of dry performance. Will definitely be looking at other options as all rounders
-
I've been eyeing up the pilot sport 4s or RE-003's as replacements. Will see what my mate can do price wise. Yep just running the mhd stage 1 tune at the moment, will add more go fast bits once i've got it handling the way I want. It's more then enough for what the car is used for at the moment. The Type R has spoilt me when it comes to handling so will be spending a bit of time getting it right, plenty of room for improvement on these. Almost mistook the rear swaybar for a noodle.
-
They sure can. Doesn't look like he'd care. Saw a similar one of him doing the same in his new Lambo lol. I certainly wouldn't be posting that sort of video online
-
Finally got round to taking it for a decent drive this weekend, car has been faultless. I do have some handling upgrades in mind though after driving it a bit more recently. Will be upgrading the rear swaybar first of all, going with the H&R 20mm bar and have also ordered a whole set of M3 front control arms in hope of getting more feedback from the front end as well as to try improve the turn in a bit. An LSD will be the next thing I explore but that'll be later down the track. Snapped a better pic of it with the blackline LCI'sat Hobsonville. P.s. whoever designed these factory runflats should be out of a job. They're horrendously harsh. Cannot wait to get rid of them

Took it for a good drive, made the most of the weather today
-
Yeah saw videos of it online somewhere. Sounds awesome Think this is it

That thing does epic skids
-
It ended up being a mobile job. He took about 1.5 hours all up but that included fluffing about with all the sensors built into the glass. Should be a bit quicker for cars without the sensors
-
I had the windscreen done by novus Penrose a few weeks back on the 135i. Did a great job, used a new seal etc and didn't leave a mark on it. Would recommend them. Had a small issue with the auto wiper sensor afterwards but they came over straight away and reset it.
-
Also in the same boat with my 135i. Noticed the dsc light kicking in really frequently since the flash. Interested to see how you get on with this. Have heard it can be a mission to install if the crown is welded which I believe is the case with mine
-
Thought i'd update this. Noticed a slight weep from the trans pan so thought i'd get the whole lot done. Did the service which included a new transmission pan with the built in gasket, the suction filter and cartridge filter and 8 litres of fluid. Price wasn't too bad considering genuine parts were used, ended up going with Auto Trans ltd in Eden Terrace. They had the job done in 2 hours. Overall the car shifts much smoother around town and the very slight shudder it had on take off previously is completely gone. Really happy with it.

335i 2006 red steering lock sign after dead battery
Navin replied to new2thisgame's topic in Electrical system
Are you sure the battery is completely charged? Tried clearing the code with mhd i'm assuming? I know these things are extremely sensitive to battery voltage so make sure the battery hasn't dropped a cell or something -
Installed blackline LCI tail lights on the 135. Really like how they update the look of the car
-
As above, have a set of e82 tail lights up for sale. They're in excellent condition, perfect if you've got a damaged lens etc. They're off my 2010 135i. Selling as i've upgraded to LCI tails. $200 for the pair

Been looking for one locally recently too without any luck. Overseas seems to be the go. Wonder if berk would do combined shipping...i'd be interested for sure
-
Repco stocks it up here and can get it very easily. If they get confused get them to type in rbf0005 into the system or get them to ring the Grey Lynn store for a part number.

Personally the first thing I do before a track day is to run some decent brake fluid. Normally run the penrite racing fluid and it's great. Consistent pedal feel throughout the day at the track. Normally run hawk hp plus pads and have never experienced fade with them but then again that was on a much lighter car. Yet to test the 135i. I have run ebc reds at puke a number of years ago and had a similar experience as you after about 4 hard laps, pretty damn scary having next to no brakes after the long back straight that's for sure!

Flashed a stage 1 mhd map onto the 135i. Managed to get one good pull before the charge pipe blew off at the throttle body lol..obviously didn't get the retainer clip seated into the groove properly. But the exhaust burble feature is prett neat! Definitely quite a big difference in power too
-
Installed an aftermarket charge pipe and flashed the MHD stage 1 tune on the 135i, yet to take it for a spin. Can't wait
