  1. Welcome, car looks great! Good to see more n55 135i's on here The weepy gearbox seems to be a common thing with the dct's. Mine had the same issue, ended up doing a full gearbox service with new sump etc. Been 2 years now and no issues
  2. Especially a 335i with the mods above. Lsd and upgraded sway bars on the 335i will bridge the gap in handling significantly
  3. I was quoted $600-$900 plus GST for the labour alone by a BMW specialist for my e82 n55. Not sure if the F chassis cars would mean an easier install but certainly not cheap.
  4. Yep as above, recommend test driving a n55 DCT model if you haven't yet. I was a manual die hard prior to getting my n55 135i. Have owned it almost 2 years now and still nowhere close to being bored of it. The DCT mated to this motor is an epic package
  5. Tell me about it. Time flies. Just hit 100 000km the other day actually. Truly expected and budgeted for a whole lot of maintenance/repairs prior to buying it but BMW seems to have nailed it with this motor. Touch wood.
  6. Nice! I've had mine coming up to 2 years now, same combo n55 with the DCT. Has been a pleasure to own, not a single issue so far. Just such a fun package. You'll love it
  7. DC2 Honda Integra would be top of my list. the b18c is lots of fun. Loads of potential to handle really well for a FWD. Have owned about 7 or 8 of them in the past. Just lacks the modern safety stuff
  8. News to me. Beaurepairs replaced mine on my 135i with pilot sport 4's with no issues (in Auckland). Best 'mod' for them, transformed the driving experience completely.
  9. No reversing camera! No deal ?
  10. Looks like they do: http://otomoto.mobile034.com/p/9226364/bmw-e87-130i-superlock-lsd-by-os-giken-to-suit-n52-engine.html Pretty sure the auto 130i would have the same diff/ratio as a auto 135i anyway so would work
  11. LSD is such a massive benefit on these. That alone would've sold me on the car. Great buy?
  12. Yeah i just came across it one day while scrolling through ebay (was actually $7nzd at the time lol) and thought i'd give it a go for the heck of it. It's just an older version of Carly that they send you with instructions.
  13. https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Carly-for-BMW-Pro-28-60-Full-App-Android-08-2018-Carly-for-VAG-11-21-2018/253916647793?hash=item3b1e9c9171:g:EGIAAOSwbzNbHaGf I bought that recently and used it with a k dcan cable to code my 135i from my phone. Was $10. Worked great, just got to follow the instructions they send
  14. First step should be to get the car scanned at a reputable workshop to figure out what the issue actually is.
  15. Glws, pretty much my car's twin haha. Out of curiosity, has your catch can caught much?
  16. 20-30mm for cars with factory Msport suspension from memory. These have been sold. Forgot to update sorry
  17. Yeah have seen that kit cheaper on e-bay
  18. Hmm wonder how much it'll be. Looks like a decent alternative. Might give George Stocks a ring
  19. wonder what the oil looked like in one of those after 50 000kms..
  20. Yep mine literally crumbled in my hand when i pulled it off
  21. Welcome! I also moved from a long line of Hondas to a 135i and it's been awesome. Hope your issues get sorted and it's nothing major. Looks like a really tidy example
  22. I had previously used Darren Mckillop from Auto-Car-Tel ltd. Going back a few years now but was extremely happy with the valuation. He understood modified/improved cars really well
  23. Yeah i'm considering an IS-f as a next car. Have to agree the interior is a let down but the driving experience does make up for it a bit.
