Just as a reference, I recently replaced all 6 on my 135i. It's about a 20-30 minute job, costed $220nzd landed for all 6 (Delphi coils) from FCP euro. Might be cheaper to just diy.

Was closer to 70k if its the same one i'm thinking of. Took it for a drive in the weekend, great car

I've gone from rft to the pilot sport 4s. Huge improvement in comfort and performance. I just keep a can of tyre goo in the boot along with one of those portable pumps

Here's a quote I got for a complete exchange diff with a Quaife lsd installed for my car a while ago from Birds in the UK. You get the exchange surcharge back once they receive your stock Diff in return.

Yep highly recommend Taylor too, top notch work.

Nice, you'll love the n55. Good choice with the dealer too. Those guys bring in quality cars

I did the same on my 135i, switched from the run flats to pilot sport 4's. Best decision ever, rides so much better. Also i haven't seen the traction control light up once since switching over. Grip is phenomenal, especially in the wet. No regrets at all

Managed to lock the keys to both our cars in the boot of the 135i...right after giving it a clean. The one time I reaaaally wished it came with comfort access

Good to hear, will definitely consider the re-003's for the 135i next time. Completely agree with you on the run flats. Have just ordered a set of pilot sport 4's. Cannot wait to get them on and get rid of these

I've had it done on mine not too long ago by Auto Trans ltd. They did a great job. Its definitely not lifetime fluid, don't fall for that crap. It's quite a big job, they ended up replacing the trans pan and 2 other filters along with the fluid as part of the service. Came up to under $1200 from memory. Not cheap but definitely worth doing for these transmissions. noticed the shifts become much smoother afterwards too

I'm with Classic Cover insurance for the 135i. Agreed value for $30k from memory. Premium is $600 a year with mileage limited to 15 000km a year (not a daily)

Hope it comes with new tyres at that price

Yeah I would do what Qube said. Cannot wait to get rid of the rft's. I find them terrible on the 135i

Suspension update for the 335i
Navin replied to Herbmiester's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Most of those reviews tend to be from people who autocross their cars, outside wheel tends to lift on extremely tight turns with the upgraded bar. Don't think its gonna be an issue for me, for now anyway. I'm also currently pricing up a Quaife lsd exchange diff from Birds in the UK so will see how that pans out -
Suspension update for the 335i

Very interesting read, has convinced me to just upgrade the front arms and continue with my plan to upgrade the rear swaybar instead -
What was the fault that came up in the app? You checked the code right?

Painted and installed the diffuser this morning:

Could be a number of things, does the frequency of the tapping increase with the revs? Direct injection injectors tend to be a little noisy if you're not used to it. Could also be the famous wastegate rattle
-
It very well could be but I will be getting them certed once i install some coilovers towards the end of the year/early next year before the summer track days i'll be attending. Saying that though, I have done my research to make sure they are of the correct material, are hubcentric and have also used longer wheel bolts to accomodate them. So from a safety point of view, they are 100% safe

Few small changes, got some black kidneys. Wasn't a fan when I got the car but they grew on me. Can always revert back to stock if I get sick of em. Also got some H&R springs and spacers to fill the guards out. Haven't installed the springs yet and am in 2 minds about it due to my driveway but will make a decision shortly. With the spacers, I actually really like the factory wheels the spacers have complimented them nicely. Went with 15mm in the front and 12mm in the rear. Not the best picture: Also got a Rieger rear diffuser. Will be painting it and installing this weekend. Should look similar to this once installed: Also picked up some 5d carbon wrap, will have a go at wrapping the brushed aluminium trim in the car, this stuff seems to be the closest to the real carbon look so should turn out pretty good. Also easily reversible if it doesn't work out. It's all been cosmetic improvements lately, have been enjoying driving the car otherwise, have not had a single issue with it. Actually drove it daily to work for a couple weeks and was really suprised at the economy. Obc showed 10.5l/100km and that's in Auckland traffic to and from the CBD. Almost as economical as my old Honda! Have heard of a lot worse from other owners but those were mainly n54's. I've recently just done the plugs and coils so not sure if they've helped or not. Either way, i'm happy. Have a big trip to Europe coming up so mods will be on hold for a little while. When i'm back and the wallet recovers i'll look at finishing off the performance mods, starting with freeing up the exhaust and installing the intercooler and downpipe.

The black manual one has been there for the same price for almost a year now I think..must not be in a rush to sell at all
-
Yep the factory chargepipe is shockingly brittle. Mine broke apart in my hands while upgrading
-
Oh wow..good thing you picked up on it. Did it ever overheat?
