They're wider, lower, heavier and have a longer wheel base but are a shade shorter. Not a huge difference, but because they are considerably lower it makes them look a lot wider than the E39. E31 850i Height 1330mm Width 1855mm Length 4780mm Weight 1865kg E39 M5 Height 1432mm Width 1800mm Length 4784m Weight 1795kg

LSD going in tomorrow, plus new belt tensioners and pitman arm. Car should feel like new... Exciting!

Spotted some muscle in Mangere.

I like those! The 8er had style 5s as one of the stock options but only 16s and not dished as much as those.

Out of the 70+ watchers, I only had one genuine request about my 540... And he bought it half an hour later. You only need one!

Thanks Dave. Definitely interested in how it performs... I don't mind polishing wheels but... If I don't have to...
-
Cool. I'll be out for a bit between 11-12ish but should be around the rest of the day.

No worries. May go to the SPCA hot rod and classics show on Sunday for a couple of hours if the promised rain stays away but otherwise will be close to home most of the weekend.
-
Can't remember the exact details but it's hard to ascertain condition because the seller has made no effort to 'shot it off'. Ultimately, with an M5 you're unlikely to sell on the basis of a few fancy pictures but it certainly helps stir the loins and get people calling and looking.

I've got an underground carpark at work that is vacant at the weekends. Used it to photograph my 540i when I sold it... http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/48829-sold-2000-e39-motorsport-540i/?p=527436. EDIT: And it was filthy but low light and photoshop are a black car's best friend.

Think you need some help with some better photos, Darren. I took some fancy ones of my 540 and sold it for a pretty penny. I could take a few this weekend if you're around.
-
It'll be easier to get an Msport bumper than an M5 bumper I'd have thought, then you don't have to change brake ducts, etc which are different on the M5.

Oops, edited. -
I've also got 2L of unused Castrol Syntrax Universal diff oil. Am fitting an LSD so surplus to requirements. EDIT: Ooops. Forgot price. $40 pick up.

Hey Ali... I have the perfect wheel for you... http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/50736-3-spoke-sports-steering-wheel/ -
Looks in exceptional condition but I'm not sold on the wheels. What's under the furry seat covers?
-
ha! Just a bit envious of the person that will get to take it home. Have you had much interest so far? There's a similarly priced one on TM that's been up for sale on and off for ages but the owner has done a miserable job of trying to sell.

Anyone have any idea how to remove a rounded screw?
jeffbebe replied to louistan3's topic in Maintenance
^ This. Easy with a dremel. Buy a new bolt first though so you've got a nice shiny new one to go in when you get the old one out. -
Stop teasing, Darren!

You did such a good job with your suspension, why not tackle it yourself? Don't think anyone will be stupid enough to do assist with your death machine for $300.

Fixed

They're just so ridiculous, they're almost cool... But not quite.
-
I've said it before and I'll say it again... I devised a very effective cup holder in my E39 and it didn't look too bad either.

ECS Tuning. EDIT: It was the only one that I could find still stocking the remote key for my 8er (they want $600 for one in NZ).
