Looks well priced and tidy. Does the p plate come with it? I know you love a p plate, Kyu

Looks very tidy, great colour too!

Something went wrong because I'm a f*cking moderator now!

Thanks for finding... Only $330 fully comp and $18.5K agreed cover for the 8 plus track day cover!! Bear in mind it's classic car insurance though, so they won't insure your daily driver.

Hear hear. If I had the cash I'd buy it and leave it exactly as it is.

Andy has already come to the rescue. Near new mount on its way overnight! 3 cheers for Andy.

Anyone know where I can get a single engine mount urgently? Preferably new but could live with a good used one. My mechanic's lowered the subframe to do the Pitman arm and found one of the engine mounts is gone. The other one seems fine but if I can get two new ones reasonably priced I'll do both. EDIT: Part #22116750820. Not sure if a later M73 (850ci or E38 750) mount will fit?

Easy. Well worth it. Hard to find OE facelift lights for less.
-
Should be as long as yours had preFL xenon a, which I think most M5s do. Easy to check on the build sheet. You might have to splice a couple connectors as the FL ones will be slightly different. Half hour job max.

Good stuff. From memory, both the boot lid and bumper were far from being beyond repair. Imagine it will be cheaper to repair and paint than replacements, unless you miraculously find ones that are a perfect colour match.

Buy these. Very well priced and are a great upgrade for the E39. Doubt they'll last long on TM for that price (don't worry, I'm not the seller).
-
Looks a good buy... I'd be interested if I hadn't sunk a Bismarck-size portion of my modest income into the 8!

Agree with Tim. The Schnitzer styling on the E39 M5 does nothing for me and the two tone interiors that BMW produced during that era date the car far quicker than a plain colour. EDIT: That said, it's in very good condition so if you could get it for $30K it might be a good buy.

Are you sure it's coming from the wheels/suspension? When my car was running on 9 cylinders it would shake under load like worn thrust arms. I guess if you've only got 4 cylinders to start with it would be pretty obvious if you lost one though!

Easy check... Does the noise go away after 45-60 seconds after cold start every time. If so, try unplugging the SAP and see what happens. I hated the SAP noise on cold start so I removed it on my 540i. Didn't have cats anyways so didn't need the SAP (it's only function is to pre-warm the cats when cold for reduced emissions).

Congratulations... Must have been my pics I knew I should have asked for commission! haha

Fine for me and I'm just under six foot but Martin (breakmywindow) was pretty much touching the headlining with the seat fully lowered and he's 6'2"ish, though he does like an upright seat position. If you don't mind driving like a teenager with the seat back (and your rear passengers have no legs), it'll be comfortable at most heights! haha But yeah... In all seriousness, if you're over six foot it's probably not the best car for you.

Try http://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com/ - I use them a lot for hard to get or larger OE parts. They work out pretty cost effectively on the big ticket items such as bumpers, etc.

1) It's illegal to tint the indicators red 2) Completely red would look a bit too 'murican IMO 3) The stock light has a red dot matrix already, so it doesn't look bright amber 4) I like it the way it is

My pleasure... Hope it helps with the sale (or with persuading you to keep it!).
