  1. I think master cylinder is around $90 and slave is around $40. I have to replace them on my old e30. Not a hard job if you know what you are doing and dont get pissed off while trying to get the master cylinder out ( on pedal box ) It sounds as if the clutch is engaged fine. If the clutch was at fault it would be slipping. And if the clutch was stuck engaged ( is this possible on dry clutchs? ) then i think the pedal would be really really hard to push in.
  2. How did the pedal feel? Any presure at all or light as? I'd put money on it being the master / slave cylinder or air in the lines.
  3. True there is no ugly join thats right. Still look heaps like pfeba though. You will find it's certainly a pfeba spoiler though without a doubt.
  4. Pfeba side skirts FTW
  5. Im looking for some slotted rotors for my 325i e30. Just the normal size but slotted etc. I mate has a set but he got them second hand. Anyone know where i can get some for the front in NZ? They are on ebay and stuff but shipping is really expensive because of the weight. Thanks guys. http://www.bavauto.com/assets/imglib500/bas_brakekit.jpg kinda like those ones but obviously 4 stud etc.
  6. e36 compact is just made up of spare parts off the shop floor from e36 and e30 parts. Pieces of crap.

I know this may seem like I'm being a smart ass. But would you take $6k? I had to ask.
  9. Yea NC30 of course, all the other VFR400's are ugly as. Meh, nah dont wanna CBR600, maybe a Daytona 675. But that's a long way away yet...
  10. I have taken it to one track day in Taupo already but i was being pretty care on it and only doing say... 2minutes 5 seconds around the long track ( slowwwwww ) but that was a bikes only day. I'd love to take it up against some cars but i dont know if there are car/bike track days, are there? I guess there arent mainy because it would be bloody dangerous for the bikes..
  11. Got a bike. Dont get me wrong, i hate Honda cars, but there bikes are mean.

  15. Hey guys. I am trying to sell my E30 at the moment and thought i would throw it on here as well. - It has done around 208,000km - Cam belt done at 197,000km - Engine has been rewired with Motronic 1.3 ( from a late model e30 ) and has a Jim Conforti chip. - Converted to manual with new gearbox mounts and shifter bushings, has very recently had new clutch master and slave cylinder. - Body is in very good condition for age, i have had over $1000 worth of paint work done on it. - The car has a rare Pfeba Bodykit all round. - The interior is very neat, tidy seats. Minor crack in dash. - I can not fault the engine in this car, these engines are bullet proof and it burns no oil ( drips every now and then but does not need topping up between oil changes. ) The engine rev's well and with the Jim Conforti chip i installed. It rev's very smoothly through the entire rev range. - This car did have genuine m stripes on it which have been removed but i can get replacements installed if the buyer wants. - Very good tread on the front and approximately 70% on the back. - Just recently had front outter ball joint replaced. - Comes with spray can mixed with car colour for minor touch ups - There are a few minor inperfections, the rear gearbox seal drips once the gearbox oil has got warm. A Replacement seal is not expensive. The trademe auction is here. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=144532500 If you are interested make me an offer, i really do need to get this sold. And questions please ask.
  16. If you want to turbo later on dont get a vanos engine.
  17. m20 bottom ends are pretty damn strong.
  18. hahahahaha first comment i have ever laughed out loud at on bimmersport. congradulations. I think that thing is awesome, who cares it's ugly, if i was the builder i'd just be wrapped to say i build my own car from scratch.
  19. You can not just swap the ECU's because they have different plugs. What you would have to do is get an entire facelift engine loom and put that in. That involves swapping around a few plugs, and removing the sensors that go into the bellhousing and adding another wheel onto the front of the crank for a sensor as well ( cant remember what it was for. ) Me and my mate did it to my car, we took a whole weekend to do it because my mate tested every wire going into the fuse box to make sure they were the same ( which they were. ) Also if you have an auto gearbox its stand alone ECU that involves more work as well ( no idea what you would have to do ) but all i know is that once i swapped in the new ecu, my gearbox ecu didnt work and my gearbox was stuck in limp mode so we decided to convert the car to manual =D. If you have a standard auto gearbox ( without sport mode ) or a manual gearbox you should be fine. Once this was done i chipped my car with a chip i got from JayCar and a .bin file i got off the internet for the Jim Conforti chip.
  20. I have Vista Ultimate and i would go straight back to XP if it wasn't such a hassle.
  21. I THINK the m20b25 has pop up pistons and the m20b20 doesn't. So i think that may cause a problem.
  22. eeek, i returned mine and went to BNT to get another. If i have the same problem with this one i will return it and might just end up going genuine bmw. but in saying that, my mate got his one from BNT and had no trouble.
  23. Hense why i pulled my seat out, its only 4 bolts which takes 1 minute.
  24. I know this thread is old but im gonna post this anyway. A simular thing happened to me, i bought a brand new Master Cyl and it came in the green box but the brand was KS or something, and it wouldnt disengage the clutch. I bled the lines so there was no air bubbles and all it would do is blow brake fluid up into the resivour. Piece of crap.
