Would you date someone because of what car they drive?

The golddigger pranks on youtube make for interesting viewing. Guy asks girl out. Girl says no. Guy walks up to Bugatti and girl suddenly becomes more interested. For those who say a car doesn't make a difference I'd say check out these vids. -
Welcome. Post a pic of your E36 when you can.

At the end of the day any secondhand UK import you buy in New Zealand should be rust free anyway. If it wasn't it wouldn't get complied. If it does have some rust it would have to be repaired before it complies. So unless it's a parts car or has rusted in NZ, the UK imports should be rust free. To my way of thinking anyway.
-
If you've lived in the UK you know about the rust. It's a matter of fact. Perhaps people who own low Mileage imports are fortunate enough to have cars that were garaged during the winter. My sister in the UK has her Jag for the warmer months and drives a cheap 4WD during the colder months. When spring arrives, after a couple a good rains to wash the salt away the Jag can come out to play again. Makes sense when you think about it. Just a thought.

Orange E46 M3 in Wanganui today waiting at the lights on Vic ave and Ingester street.. Not a color I would have thought would look good but it looked so good I almost put my E38 into a parked car when I did the double take. Never seen one in Wanganui before so at first glance I thought "nice orange 3 series" then as I was turning the corner I noticed a bulge in the bonnet.. Was about then it started to register and I did the double take and saw the flutted front guards. Wow.. It looked real sharp in that orange.. Very nice. I'll be keeping an eye out for it in the future.

+1 on the SWB Andy. With your history on conversions should I wait for you to do the first e38 V12 conversion and then when you have the bugs sorted I'll do mine.. With a bit of help from you...lol

BMW E38 750i. Cutomised be VILNER.

It's no bigger job than any engine conversion. And it's one I plan on doing to my 740i when I find a decent 750il donor car. There are many reasons why a person might want to do this swap. Since getting a E38 my dream car has been the E38 750i. I personally think the shortie is a better looking car than the il and would handles the corners a lot better than the long wheelbase. And you cant get one in NZ. Yes, you have to swap the suspension, diff, transmission and engine but the good part is that all the mounting points are the same. Drive shavt will have to be shortened. The only issue will be electronics and wiring. The easiest option would be a aftermarket ECU. Something like MegaSuirt. Not original but a lot easier than putting two Original ECU's and DME's into the car. Eventually I'd like to do a Dinan twin turbo replica with a 6 speed manual. Ok, the V12 conversion is a serious possibillity. The twin turbo 6 speed is a dream. lol

Crazy awesome. I want that engine.

Gorgeous looking car.

Luv it. I saw your thread on the wheels and stayed silent cause I wasn't sure about the color and my Mum always said "if you haven't got anything nice to say then say nothing". ha ha Gotta say though that they're growing on me. The more I look at it the more I like it. Thumbs up from me. And if(big IF) I was ever going to have a Ford in my garage it would be a Capri. Instead of wrapping the roof in black why not do it in Carbon Fibre then paint it in black with it fading out to the carbon on the edges. Or so dark you can only just see the carbon fibre across the entire roof.
