Driftit replied to necsis's topic in General Discussion
You will need someone with a decent diagnostic scanner. Local BMW/Euro specialist will have one. -
Yeah was thinking it would have to be a funny colored baby Roo.

It was Warren from Auckland vs Warren from Auckland at the end.

If you loose a plate that is not a personalised plate you have to get a new set of plates. $16. You can not have the plate you lost replaced. Unless you purchase that plate as a personalised plate. If it is lost or damaged you have to get an entire new set.

Agree with Steve. Don't bother dealing with the retail store at all. They know nothing and have the same weight as you do. You need to get ahold of the LG rep. They bend over to keep customers happy. Back when I was working for VF there was quite a few manufacturers changing to 6 month warranties on their batteries. We did question the legality but never pursued an answer.

I delt with them many years ago with a custom built 180sx clutch. They were great to deal with. Until you question something. No idea what the guys name was but he was a cock. Knew his sh*t and made sure you knew he knew his sh*t. The guy from Exedy is the same. It would be best to go in and talk to them face to face and find out what they have done and why they have done it. You need to understand why they did it. But it still does not change the fact they did work without informing you. You may be better off with the work they did.

Where is this extra charge coming from? Have they replaced parts with others?

It was another one that was for sale not his personal one. But he is the person to speak to in regards to purchasing a CSL.

2 Bar. Lol. 29psi. Wonder how they handle?

Haha torrents. More like 2005. You make Apple TV sound so great E90 M3. But don't forget to tell people that you require a above average steady line speed. You not only pay the rental fee but for the data also. A good majority of NZer's wont have a good experience on ADSL1 lines. Hell most people struggle to stream low quality clips let alone a HD clips. Once our net comes out of the dark ages it would be a good option.

Yeah the problem is that my trailer is in Howick. So mega trip.

What time on Friday and how long do you need it for? I would usually say sweet as, but I have to get my car to Eastern Bays for its first turn over with the new motor. Might be able to work around it though.

Ah explains things. These media centers are superior to PS3's and Xbox's these days. They are cheap. Play nearly all formats. Are small. Come with remotes. Connect to PC and HDD's without a fuss. All things the consoles fail to do well. The Xbox needs to be connected to the internet before it will allow you to play Divx. lol. I just need a new TV to make full use of one now.

I got my Dad one of those a few months back. Was on special at d*ck Smith. Got him a 1TB HDD to go with it which I filled with TV shows and movies for him. He loves it. We had a little trouble getting it to play 720p files though. I was meant to look into why but never did. Might be just a firmware upgrade. There is a few other brands that do similar jobs. Asus just brought out a new range not long ago. Was checking it out at Computer Lounge the other day. Asus one wtih Networking http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/hometheatr...sp?partid=11118 There is a ton of them now. Lots of brands. http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/hometheatr...?parttypeid=556 BTW Computer Lounge has a big new shop on Carbine Road. Its sweet.

How to get the correct BMW part number from the item?
Driftit replied to Driftit's topic in Maintenance
You have half those cars in your back yard don't you. -
Best thing to do is to not separate the pedal box until it is out of the car. Follow Cam's instructions but remove the whole pedal box as one piece. Sell it as one piece too. So much easier than trying to wiggle the clutch and brake pedal out from under the dash. Took me 3 times as long last time I tried it that way.

How to get the correct BMW part number from the item?
Driftit replied to Driftit's topic in Maintenance
Found the Bosch ecat. You are able to search by car or by Bosch Part number. In some cases you are able to obtain the OEM part number. Which sometimes has nothing in common with the number on the part. E.g. The Bosch 0 280 150 716 injector has the OEM number of 13 64 1 726 989. Type that into RealOEM and you find them. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref.do?par...&showeur=on Bosch Ecat http://ecat-online.bosch.de/toc/en/0000rmK...ndexFramesetJsp How did I end up with a 3 bar Fuel Pressure Reg on this Donor motor? Thats a bit much for an M20 thats for sure. Only 320 they came on was the 320is. Which is an S14 motor. So that gets biffed in the parts bin. -

Yeah just trying to figure out how to get the BMW numbers from the Bosch numbers. They have some sort of code. 13641 is injectors 12531 is Pressure regs Played around with the next three digits but they don't seem to have any relation to the part numbers. The final 3 digits are the finial 3 numbers of the Bosch number however. -
How to get the correct BMW part number from the item?
Driftit replied to Driftit's topic in Maintenance
Yeah thats actually where I am trying to search. The parts listed for my car are not the ones that are on it. I want to know where they came from. And if you have the 7 or 11 digit part number it will list a number of vehicles that the part came on.
