  1. We rand to evaluate and adjust the contract. Didn't want a bar of it.

    Cyclone Pam

Sure its not just in the dishwasher or something? I think some leaves fell off a tree at our house. I can't confirm if this was caused by Pam or they just fell off on their own.

  4. Sounds like they were insured by State. Haha. Said it before on this forum a while back. But we once called them to inform them I had put a better head unit in my car. The said I had breached the contract and my insurance was terminated. All I wanted was to re-evaluate my policy. Was happy to pay more. 45mins later they had lost 3 more cars as my family ditched them.
  5. Agree. There is NO difference between selecting a gear in a DCT vehicle and selecting a gear in a manual.
  6. How you missed the context of my comment is beyond me. Anyway the others have clearly stated why an Auto is more comfortable in traffic as a daily.
  7. It wouldn't be an issue. It would be less comfortable and unnecessary. If I lived outside of the city I would go for the manual.
  8. It is the same box isn't it? Like the E46. Can even easily convert them to manual. Not that you would in a car like that.
  9. Teach you how to drive properly? Where do you pull this rubbish from. It is not hard how to figure out how to push a clutch pedal down. So daily driving would be 99% and track driving 1%. Make sure the daily part is comfortable. Last thing you want it a shitty old manual driving in Auckland Traffic.

    UK M3

George's Lotus was horrendous if you don't know the story. Ground Up rebuild. US stories of Corrosion vs BMW are also very real. Like plasterboard homes. People tend to avoid them because there is a chance it could be leaky.
  11. Spotted some guys in an E30 318 with BBS wheels parked in the obvious 'getting stoned' spot on top of Mega Mitre 10 last night. Also some wanker in a Red 05 M6 driving like a total piece of sh*t on the Northern Motorway. Had a go at the Mrs for hitting the horn when he cut her off due to him being in the wrong lane and suddenly changing without indicating. Rego: GAF703 And a nice E30 M3 I have not seen before. Silver and Stock. Driving along Oteha Valley road.

And I am back to doing more interesting things such as nothing in particular. http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/cricket/67155854/icc-revoke-accreditation-for-alternative-commentary-collective-after-incident No AC Collective no watch.
  13. Would be better to have tickets inline with Car capability and driver skill. So someone driving a 1989 Nana spec Corolla at 115 pays 3 x more than someone in a new BMW. The BMW is far more capable at those speeds than the Corolla.
  14. I will give Kayne a call and ask him. He can let me know what was done to the diff also. Right so had a chat. Not a direct bolt up for an E30 sorry. Had to check as I have never really had a look at it. The LSD unit has had a 45/30 ramp set with 4 plates done. You would need to swap the guts out and into an E30 housing. 4.1 is perfect for an E30. Really gets much better accel. But it will cost to swap it all over unless you are capable of doing it yourself. I would recommend having it done by Kayne.
  15. That is stuffed. Should be obvious to anyone at BMW.
  16. I have a 4.1 Medium built by Kayne Barrie in my race car that is being swapped out for a large case. The diff has been fully rebuilt and has been slightly ramped up making it lock up much better than stock. Though I would want $500 and your diff. Over $1200 has been spent on it and has done very little KM's since the build.
  17. I would call Kayne Barrie if you really want to know if the diff will work for you.

    CWC...

Tuned into these guys on the weekend. Had a good laugh. Something that I have never done before whilst watching cricket. Ever. http://www.iheart.com/live/alternative-comntry-collective-6693/ Be warned. It is pretty rough. Leigh Heart was hammered drunk and hungover. There was lots of great nick names given to players. Talks about how the Aussie uniforms look like glow in the dark condoms. Breastfeeding talks. Every poor ginger kid in the crowd was found and hassled. A few nicknames I remember. Cumburger ginger headed orphan Steven Hawkings The Hairy Javelin Freddy Mercury
  19. You don't need to do both. Subframe bushes are a real pain in the ass. If you can buy a spare subframe and replace its mounts so you can just swap out the subframe I would recommend doing so.
  20. Diff cover to suite Medium Case E30 Diff. Has a brand new unused urethane mount already pressed into it. Cover has one chipped fin which will make no difference. Or you can put the urethane mount in your own cover. $50 Note: Chipped fin is the far right hand side one. Small one.
  21. Standard 2nd gen M20 Rocker Cover. Perfect if you want a spare to paint or have the older style plain looking one. $35
  22. Yip I learned an important lesson about fitness when doing the 6 hour endurance race with with James in his S52 powered E30. We were rushing to get onto the grid (I pretended I was meant to be starting from pit lane and drove up after the race had started a few seconds before). So I didn't get to set up my water. I lost so much fluid it wasn't funny. Heat and effort was brutal. The car had a few issues so I was lucky to get a drink at those times. I have so much respect for Enduro drivers now. More so than any other drivers. I won't attempt it again unless I am super fit. If the car had made the 3 hours for my stint I think I would need to have been pulled from the car.
  23. In the BMW series it is Build Cost Power Figures Rule Book following Weight is something they can't get away with. And yeah add 108KG's when the Driver is in my car Jon haha.
