Mtech 1 & 2 E30's annoy E36 M3 owners. Because they are in the same price bracket. But not in the same performance bracket.
-
Was thinking about this and realised the reason I never go to meets anymore is because there is no race cars. I have weekend long meets in the race series. Though I would like to see the older classics parked up.

advice regarding accident damage repair and compliance
Driftit replied to qube's topic in General Discussion
Yeah a few bottles of JD's and they slide through. But the importer/seller is responsible for anything that was not disclosed. The rules changed in 2003 for frontal impact. I think you were liable for up to 7 years. If it was flagged as a damaged vehicle upon entry to the country it would require a repair cert to be complied. If it was flagged as a damaged vehicle once being complied it would also require a repair cert. However the compliance company decides if they want to declare it or not. If there is no flag at all. Then I would be looking at a court case against the Complier and Seller if you can prove this damage should have been picked up. -
I miss the meets of the old days. We used to be able to get 25 Silvias with 20 mins notice just by TXT. Then that was all ruined by the new crowd that came along with D1NZ mentality. They expected everyone to be skidding around every corner. My Mrs even ran a few Mega meets where we had over 100 cars turn up each year from all over the country. Some mates and I still privately hire Taupo track each year. But we no longer invite random people as we run an open pit and we must trust the skill of everyone we invite. For some reason I presumed the ECC meets would all be poorly lowered E class Mercs, 520i's on 24's, MK3 Golfs with roof racks and some stupid bicycle on top. Am I wrong? Maybe I should go sometime. I didn't realise people from here helped run it. As for Bimmerfest. Well maybe next year. Hire Taupo. Get BMW Club and Bimmersport on board.

They are expensive and very rare. New would be your best option. Pelican Parts or a similar site.
-
Check with Brent at BMW world. I found a 2nd hand BMW style fitment towbar for my E39 a while back.
-
Find a complete car. Easier than just a shell. A cheap 318 auto in good condition. Then swap all your bits over.
-
Haha yeah I am a bit worried about my ratio in the E34 too. Try Kayne Barrie. He would be your best source. Brent at BMW World also may have something.
-
Others have sold for around that price recently.
-
It is all about the production numbers. And what about if you already have the other models and are missing one of these. It is like baseball cards for the rich.
-
Get to have a look at the Turbo E21 Alpina too.
-
We need some of the old boys club to get back into it. Priorities seem to have moved from Car's and Cruising to I have to do what I am told.

If I was still out East I would be going to Glenn. Always trusted his shops work and advice. On the shore there is huge number of Euro specialists. But I have always had good experiences from Burger at Burgers Motor Works and Ernst at Bavarian Motor Works. Pricing is always fair and the parts are up to standard. And these guys have been in the industry since the E9 was in the showrooms Their are cowboys up this way though. But I don't want to hurt any feelings.
-
Really? Who would that be?
-
Got told no because it doesn't have a sun roof. Haha. Still thinking about it. Would daily it though. Whats the point in a car like that if it sits in the garage.

Wow. And Wow at the listing price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-M3-Europameister-E30-M3-Europameister-1-148-with-only-17-274-miles-/321566286487?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4aded82297&item=321566286487&pt=US_Cars_Trucks

Hmm now to convince the Mrs to let me trade for it. Though not a B38.
-
Maybe not then. These ones looked pretty new. Did I replace them? sh*t I can't even remember yesterday. Ah actually I think I got some Evo ones that fit off a mate. They were also EBC yellow. Edit again. Nope the Evo ones are still in a box next to me. Must have been your old ones Haha. sh*t they are still in there too. All falling apart.
-
Haha they fell apart Milan. Crumbled at about 50% to go. Big chunks just fell off and left the backing plate. Same thing happened on my E30 with them. Stopping power and feel is great up to that point. Will PM Amber-Leigh

I must have missed the Hate train that day.

Grandma Tits. For some reason I feel white blends all the lines of the E30 into nothing. Never been a fan of white BMW's though. No matter the model. Also don't think white Mercs look any good.

You don't need to warm up the HP+ pads. You are not going to come to a stop sign and sail on through on a cold morning. They are just much more effective when hot. There is no harm in running them on the street. You will wear your rotors a bit quicker though. Realistically how much track work are you going to do? And how hard are you going to push? Standing on the brakes after the 100M mark at 200KPH for turn 1 at hampton for 10 laps at 100%? Then the HP+. The stock E46 is a fat car though. With the HP+ you prob won't reach their limits which could give you good peace of mind. I was going to see if I could sneak in a fluid pressure bleeder into your order. But the shipping for it is a joke at $70USD. The item is only $99USD.... Edit: Just realised I pretty much said exactly what Dave said. I just hadn't refreshed the page. Haha
-
Hey have you placed your order already? I have been wanting to get a pressure bleeder from them every time I go to the website.
