  1. TM catch and act on people doing this all the time btw.
  2. Probably. I drive the e28 more but the 130i we have punches waaay above its weight. Sounds, handles and goes excellent.
  3. Any chance you want to make me an amazing offer to sway me from my M62B44 conversion plan (to e28)? Have a look at this to see what I'd need to put an N52 in a diff chassis (ie engine, ECU, cas, key, all manual conversion bits) etc: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F143207919714
  4. 50k reserve??? I had a 540i Daytona Violet MSport 6speed manual, LSD etc that I bought for pennies. It wasnt a great example but jesus christ. Is there a such thing as an "IS" model in an e34 anyhow? Or is this just a nice way of saying MSport?
  5. Ah I see. Prob a bit too much for my needs. Weighing up proceeding with a minty manual V8 M62 transplant for my e28 or going for a more locally attainable and much cheaper manual m54 swap. I have the engine earmarked already but not yet paid for.
  6. What's happening with the M54?
  7. 255hp is nice without boost though. That SC kit is pretty nice anyhow.
  8. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2420120253.htm?rsqid=9d2ea1d83ac84728a40712039c8c1b86-002 But its not "fully intergrated", the front arches just end out in mid air!?
  9. You still selling m54 parts? I might ditch the V8 idea for my e28 and go this way. The V8 gearbox prices are simply not worth it. Fekzen in Sweden are selling standalone conversion mods for BMW ECUs and their m54 one is 255bhp on Dyno.
  10. Seriously, does anyone want these? Reserve is $35. https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=2419792270&ed=true
  11. Thanks for the links Brent (and your message reply!). Ive been looking at them too, all bar one are cash on collection and Im sick of dealing with people in the UK and their stubbornness on shipping outside the UK. This one might be interesting if shipping wasnt too OTT: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E34-V8-M60B40-Manual-5-speed-gearbox-transmission-1053401/303334185123?hash=item46a02058a3:g:rf8AAOSw-w9dsdPE The other curve ball is.. just stick a 5speed auto from an M62 in it and dont go Megasquirt, use Fekzen in Sweden to mod the stock ECU into standalone mode. There was a time manuals were cheaper, but with the 10x premium on manual parts now, Im questioning this approach. The idea was to get V8 power into the E28, but the budget is looking like 70% of the cost being on the manual conversion. That just doesnt make sense vs what the point was. I can buy an entire E32 and get a ton of other parts from it for less than just the adapter or bare gearbox. Will a 5HP transmission physically fit into an E28?
  12. yeah saw that, his prices are above what I can just import similar new parts for. Way above. His parts might be hard core (likely are, given race spec) but thats not really even a benefit for a daily driver. $7000 to $8000 for just the transmission parts is not money well spent!
  13. Either something like the 5 or 6 speed from the E34 540i or something like the newer diesel gearboxes that need the (PMC) adapter plates. I already have an M62, just need to source a manual box (and pedals etc) for a swap into the E28.
  14. Any offers for these at all? Bare wheels, ready to go.
  15. That actually pretty cool, did you change the Master Cylinder for the brakes too? I have to stick to what fits under 16" E32 wheels though!
  16. Thanks for the offer, but sadly E39 and E38 brake parts wont fit an E28!
  17. The calipers are harder to find, but PM me a discs price anyhow!
  18. Looking for good condition calipers, rotors etc from the newer bigger BMW's for my e28. Can buy online/abroad but thought to ask here first.
  19. Updated advert, rock bottom price: https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=2336441613&ed=true
  20. Thanks! It needs to be cleaned and new wheels put on, then photos! Now has the whole rear end mounts, bushings done. Next up, big brakes!
