  1. $1 buy nows!? You would get more by taking them to a yard for scrap metal!
  2. Yes!!! Like when you get a new car!!!! Update it!
  3. I think quite in the other direction that an inter cooler coverd up and hidden is much nicer. A big stupid nissan front bumper with a gigantic hole in the middle for a huge fridge to hang out of isnt my cup of tea Either way, it looks kinda nice but would've been nicer without an SR...
  4. Ahh having been in company with a few cops needing to deal with the Police for a work issue at some stage, I was curious about this, they are allowed to use their cell phones - but only their WORK cell phones, as far as I understand this, they have a cell phone provided for them, they use it to call the station etc etc instead of the radio as previously mentioned, I may be way off the batt here, but thats the impression I got.
  5. I have a good "731" cylinder head assembly available, I only pulled the motor out of the car because my 2.7 was ready. Ran very well, and has had work done on it. Note: this is the head that came off the 320i/323i which has the same chamber volume as the standard ETA (2.7) pistons. Will sit straight on without lowering C/R. However, I also think you are after an "885" casting head - off 325i.
  6. I've thought about this aswell as I have seen more than one smoking in the car, infact it seems quite common, I would think that a work vehicle is classed as a workplace and that its not allowed! Your cops sound like a barrell of laughs Graham
  7. Yep, they have to come off, I bought my last water pump from BNT, its a "gmb" pump, if you want to buy genuine go ahead but they are not cheap. Whatever pump you buy I would think should be fine AS LONG as you check it has metal impellers not plastic ones, if it has plastic ones, send that sh*t back!

    E30 parts

Lol why would I mention something that would make more work for you? I've done both, and like Frantic has mentioned, it takes about ten minutes to swap the pedals around, the entire pedal box takes a sh*t load longer and is a HUGE pain in the ass. edit: they are not "similar" they are identical.
  9. Aswell as cambelt and tensioner (if its noisy!), since they have to come off.
  10. Happy birthday Glenn! Don't have too much fun

    E30 parts

Just to let you know, you don't need a "manual" pedal box, any old pedal box will do, as they are all setup the same. All you need is a clutch pedal, and the slightly longer bolt to attach it with as the old one is shorter (which you can buy) and the master cylinder, all the holes/attachments are there, you just add the pieces in. If you cant find a clutch pedal you can always cut an old auto brake pedal in half an improvise. Edit: I'm ignorantly assuming its an e30 of course!

    2.7 m20 motor

Offers wont get you anywhere, have you got a ball park figure?
  13. Clearly the rules state: All "cool as pieces of America" are exempt. It looks like sh*t!
  14. LOL!!! I love it! Legally justifying de-lagalizing your car!
  15. Thats just an auto 325i with a kit, its north worth A: What hes selling it for (in my opinion), and B: The cost of importing etc!
  16. Happy birthday Graham. May your e30's oil leaks magically disappear overnight!
  17. Make sure you include no.6 spark plug lead or sensor and the engine speed sensor attached by the toothed pulley!
  18. I'm still using chrome, I didn't really have any problems with add ons. BUT I have found lots of bugs, like my router interface doesn't work with chrome, it wont let me adjust the settings in it, or it doesn't save them properly or it simply doesn't work. Have to do all that through FF or IE. Trivial, but also on facebook a few things dont work in chrome, but its still so early on I'm willing to forgive its set backs lol. It loads quicker, and browses quicker, and it remembers my bimmersport login Firefox never did, no matter what!
  19. Getting a little harder, may have to pay a little more as they are normally sold with motors or blocks, judging by the size of the weld that looks like one hell of a crack, I'd replace it, don't try get it repaired again. I hate oil leaks just as much believe me lol.
  20. Hahah I was trying to put it nicely
  21. No one can point out the definite problem, as we are not there. We don't know what is exactly wrong. But well do out best! To clarify, your motor is a pre-facelift 325, just seeing the diagnostics plug in the backround is enough, it is the old style. Plus the plug you hold up is not the engine speed sensor that people have mentioned. That plug that you held up in the photo is not a crank angle sensor, and as again previously mentioned does nothing to affect the motor, its just used for the diagnostics plug. This means you have the sensors attached the bellhousing of your gearbox - these are known to cause problems. If your flywheel has lost a tooth or something along those lines this can cause crazy problems for these sensors as they count the teeth. Check it all out! Another area you may want to check out as Ray has already mentioned is the plug underneath the inlet manifold, this is the plug that connects the injectors to the engine loom - they are SO common to corrode because of where they are and they can open up a can of whoop ass problems on your car with craaazy symptoms! (its the circular plug directly underneath inlet manifold) Its a good idea to connect those grounds/wires.
