Just came back from Europe, our petrol is one of the cheapest in the world. We've got it pretty good. In germany 91 was at 1.23 EUR per litre when I left. Todays exchange rate means it looks like this: 1.23 EUR = 3.01814 NZD Ouch! Edit: Last year during the peak it was over 2EUR per litre.

Good luck with the sale Alan!

As far as I am aware most getrags specify auto trans fluid. I've used Redline MTL and later switched to Redline high performance ATF. A bit more expensive but a great oil which I would highly recommend.

Merry Christmas from Germany everyone... I hope all your BMW parts/cars/wishes come true! Oh and dont kid yourself Simon, you love everyone too much -
Did you put in a new clutch? Or just a different old one?
-
Also has facelift ellipsoids! Damn nice e30.. Is it owned by one of us who surf upon bimmersport?

320s have the performance of a 318 and the fuel consumption of a 325. Any 325/327 I have driven is not only a better drive, has bucket loads more torque and power, and almost all of them were a lot better on gas!

What??? All this to bleed a clutch on an e30? It takes 5 minutes the normal way!

I replaced my stock one with an SE because its my favorite of the lot, mainly because of the centre horn, on my stock steering wheel, in the heat of the moment I would get overwhelmed by the choice of 4 horn buttons and by the time I got my bearings straight all the tooting time had long passed and gone so the effect was some random guy tooting in an e30 apparently at nothing haha.

Happy Birthday Grant!

I'm surprised trademe let either auction follow through seeing as he's displaying his private email account on the auction?

My car is in its present state outside my house as always Must have been 4 months ago cos neighbors still have trees, they dont now. I think its a good idea, but it can be used for bad things just like everything else, just like people can survey areas for work, thieves can study their target in depth (if they get that forward thinking!)

Yessss!!!!!

Cheers, glad you got it sorted.

Help My 740il Leaks Water And Gets Hot Dun 250 000km
QuickSilver replied to tight_pants's topic in Maintenance
Water bubbling in the coolant could mean that there is pressure leaking into the cooling system, the only way that can happen is by a cracked headgasket, cracked head, or cracked block. It would be leaking out of the combustion chamber which is why you see no oil mixing with coolant. -
Directional tires on the right sides? I've had them put on wrong and it sent vibration through the car as well.

Ah yep, make sure you get all the air out of the system first though!
