Ugh. That VR4 owner offered a swap for my R33, completely ignoring the message at the top of my auction. Not to mention it is an utter piece of sh*t

I've got a best motoring one lying around somewhere where Keiichi Tsuchiya was driving the E39. From memory, he liked the straight line speed but said it felt too heavy (a common criticism of theirs of European cars). God knows what he'd think of an F10 M5 then! I loooove old AMGs. Give me a Hammer

Matt, I remember the auction you and your brothers did for "The Brown". Hilarious! This is my first when I was 16. 1990 Subaru Legacy GT, with some STI bits. No insurance, dodgy Indian ex-owner, millions of things wrong, but it was fast and it made whooshing noises (for the bitches).

Quite interested in these. Will let you know how poor I am after pay day
-
Mine sold for $7800 at the start of the year and it had a fair bit of interest at a start price of $6500. Non LSD, 232,000 km, but reasonably tidy with a recent paint job.

I shudder at the thought of the running costs over 208,000km (fuel, maintenance, oil, tyres etc). Still, I love that it has been used that much!

Haha, yes a small world indeed. Is this the one that is being reshelled? -

^^ You have to be 25 in most cases. Occasionally we can cover 23/24 year olds with higher excesses. Tom, give us a call on 0800 456 254 and ask for Dietmar, pronounced Deet-mar (or Steve, don't ask..) and I'll see what I can do for you. -
IF I were you, I'd link this on a few popular forums, most notably NZHondas due to its large and varied member base, if only to save other people from a similar misfortune. In this day and age a business should not be able to survive by providing such shoddy workmanship, no less because of the danger they caused by tinkering with the suspension. Glad to hear that the court ruled in your favour, and I hope that it didn't leave you too much out of pocket, although the ruling provides you some solace for the loss of racing time you would have had

I work for Classic Cover. Give me a call on 0800 456 254, ask for Dietmar. I should be able to help you out and put you in touch with some valuers who know their stuff, as well as give you a competitive quote! (I hope). We don't devalue cars every year like some mainstream companies do, we rely on the clients to know what the value of their car should be. Occasionally when the car has a value a little off the wall, we'll request them to get a valuation. This is for the client's peace of mind that they are not over/underinsuring their car.

How much would one of these weigh in comparison to say, an M60B40?
-
A guy we insure has one of these in a outwardly stock looking Nissan Safari. Would be a bit of fun I reckon

^^Gaz, I've been in contacted with Don and he mentioned you were thinking about buying it back. I'm seriously considering it, is there anything worth worrying about with it?
-
Will give you a text to register my interest - quite keen on having a look later on this week. Could be a good car for the GF to run about it
-
Damn, kicking myself for not taking time off work and going

If you're buying an E30 that you want to be a solid base for modifying, or just owning in general, make sure you check it out thoroughly. There are parts that can be replaced that aren't an issue (bushes, trim pieces etc), but make sure the chassis is sound. Pull the speaker kick panels out (you just need a screw driver to remove the one screw) and feel around under the carpet for water, as a common leaking spot for them that can cause endless issues is from the heater cowl by the firewall. The last thing you want is to have to take it to somewhere to get panels welded in if you can't weld yourself
-
Hustle Live\ This guy actually has no idea, so I'd be extremely skeptical of the parts that he says it has.
-
Can you link me to this please? I was gutted I didn't pick it up when it sold on TM a couple of months ago
-
Yep, Hamilton is littered with raised manholes, and the new expressway is already subject to repairs following shoddy workmanship. There are sizable drops and ridges that threaten to break my back due to my coil overs if I drive over them at anything over 30kmh
-
I'd say around 4k, maybe 5 if you get the right buyer. There is one on Trademe sitting on around $12,000, that will be there for years to come
-
Very interested in having a bid, depending on price. Would be good to see if anyone manages to figure out the anomalies with the vin/chassis numbers
-
Nah, still in the process of finding a good one. The Skyline's just developed a misfire under boost also, so I'll have to fix that before it sells.
-
Wow, stunning! There are very few cars that I enjoy silver on, but this is one of them.
-
G'day Reed. Good to see you've made it on here, and that you did something that I was meant to do with the E30 but never got round to (thrash it properly on a race track/closed road). I miss it a lot

Those Hartges suit the E30 shape so well. Nice upgrade
