That looks like it would be tidy daily. I'm after some rims for the coupe so I'll be watching with interest.

What is your time frame? I've purchased Nathan's old Platanungrun PFL 325i coupe, and I'm in the process of fixing it up. It has (or will have) most of the bushes replaced with nolathane, has an LSD, houndstooth, race series Konis with matched King Springs, facelift motor + gearbox etc. Just testing the waters, as I may be going overseas.

I use adblock most of the time for Chrome, as the ads were also getting annoying for me. However there are some content makers I like to support, so I disable ad block when watching their videos.

Hmm, but I thought the TPS is only used for WOT and idle? How likely is it that it causes your driving issues?
-
I'll take the rear bumper (and front, possibly) if that falls through.

Like others have said, cheap E30s used to be abundant. The supply either seems to have dwindled, or demand has ramped up considerably, but they certainly aren't as frequent. Check underneath the carpets. Bring a screwdriver with you so you can take the right front speaker cover off, and see if you can manoeuvre your hand underneath the carpet to check if it is wet. Being an E30, there will be an interior water leak somewhere. I've just ripped the carpet out of FAL328 again after my fix (unblocking the sill drains) did nothing to stop the carpet getting soaked. Also put your hand under the carpet behind the front seat. If the water has pooled for ages, you can get some nice rust happening there which can require the floor pan to be cut and a new section welded in. $$$. That roof rust looks similar to what I have at the moment. If it is quite deep, it can be expensive to fix. Either way, all E30s have some sort of a history, it's about picking the one with the least problems possible

E30 325i Lowering Springs Advice
Top Secret replied to albert72's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
I'm quite enjoying the race series Konis + matched king springs. I haven't driven too many sorted E30s for me to be able to compare the set up, but these ones are doing me fine. Keep in mind your bushes may be old and sloppy now, so new urethane bushes could be a nice upgrade. -
Put the rest of the interior back in the purple E30. Put the carpet into FAL328 and took it for a drive.

Tried in vain to sort out the coupe's leaking problem. The sill fills up completely with water, and then dumps its contents into the driver's footwell. I uncovered a couple of blocked drains which I handily applied the tip of a screwdriver to, but I'm sure there are supposed to be more than two drains per side? I may just make a calculated hole with a drill if that will help things. I'll look at that again when I feel like procrastinating on my university work. Effing E30s. I'm almost convinced that every single one leaks

Only bought a thermostat and an ignition rotor off him, and the service was impeccable. Fast (and cheap) shipping, and excellent communication. It's quite good to see a retailer like this in this day and age.

Awesome! No AYC problems to speak of then. Maybe it's time I put mine up on Trademe too.

If the whine isn't that bad, you can just put up with it. BMW diffs are pretty strong and would continue to work for a long time

Nice to see the progress that you've made. Personally, I'd shadowline the chrome trim around the windows, get a different rear muffler (or mount it further in), and get a factory lip spoiler for the boot. Although it looks nice as is. The yellow tint film definitely works

Cost of car ownership is so low here in NZ compared to many places overseas. If you can't afford to keep a car on the road now, then you shouldn't be driving IMO. Us enthusiasts will be aware of anything our car needs doing, but Joe Bloggs or half of the females I know wouldn't have a clue. I'm already scared by the standard of some cars on the road, and this would just make it worse. I also foresee problems with modified cars and the police over this. Keep it as is.

Throw some pics up! Sounds awesome

Hey, They got stolen in 2010 from my shed, which I was pissed off about in principle but not in practice as I disliked them that much. Funnily enough, I saw the exact wheels attached to a car that went through Turners car auctions a couple of months ago

Don't mean to sabotage anything mate, just wondered if it was anything serious. Apologies for the misunderstanding. Anyway, mint buy, keep us posted with the progress
-
Maybe distributor cap and rotor? Good buy, hope that the rust is curable!
-
Yes, I saw this too! I knew it'd be snapped up quickly. Is it still running on 5 cylinders?

How strange it must be to be in Scandinavia and have the exact opposite culture to here: Nissans with BMW engines in them E30s are the go to budget drift car Laurels, Cefiros, Skylines, Silvias etc are a novelty.

Check these out mate: GP Forums Also, troll the buy and sell on this forum. Tonnes of good stuff go for sale on here, at prices generally under TM prices, and the sellers tend to be knowledgeable and GCs. Once I sell the purple BMW, I'm in the market for an Asus Zenbook UX32VD from the states. Google it, and drool.

Nice, love your style. I shudder to think of the gas this thing uses. Oh well, life is short
