rusty bonnet + dish + racks FTW

Go for superlow king springs. They sit pretty high and are pretty firm too. I have some spare but they have been cut 1 coil up front hah..
-
Go 205 on the 8.5 and 215 on the 9.5 and it'd be more super stretched

Converting a M60B40 to run a Toyota 5/6 speed manual?

You would have a higher diff ratio though anyways wouldn't you? (no idea about e34's, but e30 autos all had higher ratio diffs vs the manual versions). So it would balance out? -

Didn't Andrew on here get a toyota box for his m30 turbo.. Maybe hit him up see how much it was for the bellhousing adapter to be made or whatever. I'm sure that black e30 m3 with the v10 m5 engine has done similar, I saw pics and it is using an adapter plate and a different manual box. -
Looks good man. Look forward to seeing it at the hamilton meet

What a fool, how dum would he have felt if the car ran him over lol
-
+5 Haha yeah, I do the same. Or I forget if I have replied to everyone.

Struts are a whole lot cleaner now, cut off the brackets cleaned them up and painted them. Also got a 12" electric fan. Probably could have gone bigger but oh well.. I didn't realize how tiny it was til I got it. Wired it up to the factory thermoswitch too so it comes on at T1 (The lower of the 2 settings). Waiting for rear shocks to be shortened. Get the diff this weekend to throw that in and it is pretty much done! If the skid plate comes first may aswell try fit that too then it's off for the exhaust then WOF/CERT time

If you are wanting to use it to get the rear halfshaft out, You will rip the hub off and destroy the bearing before the axle shaft even moves.
-
God damnit. And I have 205's on my 9".
-
It says if the engine swapped into that car was built in Germany after 1990 it will need a catalytic converter. Christ that would mean I'd need one, i think? I'd better hurry.. Lol.

Ahh righto. Would explain the 1500rpm idle that I couldn't trace to anywhere else..
-
Is that thing you have on your brake booster line required?
-
You have some awesome fab skills going on for that front end. Good work.
-
Yeah I will probably make a box around it eventually, but in the meantime it's fine as is. Just want to get the main stuff sorted for now. I had the strut perches re-welded too, So now just a matter of painting them and the front end will be in for good.. Camera is an absolute POS trying to take close up pics. That was the clearest out of about 30 pics hah.

Hard to tell.. For an e30 they can come with LSD' so they wouldn't know if it were LSD or locky really. But a lock diff sucks to daily drive with anyways...
-
Really isn't much to go now. Just shorten some rear shocks, clean up front strut welds and paint, then install front end and have exhaust fitted up. Hoping to have it complete end of next week, but in no hurry. In the mean time have semi sorted out the intake side.. And just got a new rubber bush for the steering, going to be alot cheaper than having a metal one made and it clears fine anyways. Oh and I've bought a factory e30 skidplate.. Unsure how well it will fit under the m50 sump but will make it fit anyways.

If it is your center hanger bearing or guibo your car would usually vibrate from the driveshaft shaking, especially under heavy acceleration. Does it happen as you are releasing the clutch? Could be the thrust bearing come apart..
-
Oh sweet. What do the holder and keeper springs cost?
-
Where did you get the keeper springs from? And I can't see any pics hah.
