2200uF is common size on computer motherboards, and VERY common to leak on the same. You could try a good computer repair centre, they should have boxes of them !

Try ringing Trevor Mallard, apparently he does a good deal on tickets !!

I can remember the four of us kids shoe-horned in the back of a Morris 1100 !! No car seats or even belts back then ! No aircon, no elecric windows, don't think it even had a radio

I have often thought that Apple / Samsung / whoever is missing a big market here ....... Bring out a Double Din Headunit frame that holds their smartphone, and voila you have a whole group of car owners buying your phone ......

Yes, I will stand up for AMI too. I do repairs for them and often think to myself - I would not have paid out on that ! Plus they were very helpful and friendly and helpful last week when my son ( 21yr old ) had to claim. 2 sides to every story !

Munich, 9th of January 2012. The collaboration of BMW Group subsidiary DesignworksUSA and Thermaltake has reached the next level. The design consultancy has developed a design concept for an innovative series of gaming accessories of which the first product, the Level 10 M Mouse, will be launched in spring 2012. As a Think Tank of BMW Group the design consultancy DesignworksUSA works for many industries with only one aim: to transfer design know how between cultures, markets and industries in order to come up with the most innovative, forward thinking and consumer oriented design solutions. In 2009 Thermaltake, the leader and innovator of pro-gaming computer chassis, for the first time partnered with the wholly owned BMW Group subsidiary. The studio had been tasked with the design concept of the Level 10 high end gaming tower. The result was a chassis which triggered off a lot of praise from the IT and pro-gaming world and many awards for its sheer revolutionary approach to computer housing. Now the collaboration continues with the expansion of the Level 10 experience to a range of gaming peripherals for Thermaltake´s e-sports division.

As far as changing from IRED to RF, I too wondered about that, but was told by both Jochen and Glenn that it would be more trouble than it is worth. I am considering setting up an aftermarket RF remote unit to unlock the car via the Central lock switch in the centre consule. Especially as I have a BMW Diamond RF key that works with the EWS in my car, after a Jeff Gray's stuff-up I was thinking of getting a learning receiver and running with that. Your problem would be you would need to carry a RF bliper as well as your old IRED key to use to start the car. Short answer seems that Ex Jap cars are not easy to convert, so best to go aftermarket

My E39 Touring has the side Nokia Sub and the Jap owner had installed an extra Amp to run the rear roof speakers - I run a DICE unit and are more than happy with the sound. Perhaps Brent could help you out with some salvage E39 gear, Amp and Sub etc ? That would be easier than a customer setup and you would retain the boot space. Best of luck.

This !! This is what you need

From what I have researched in looking for a Motorhome based on these vans, the Later Transits are apparently much better - the TDi ones - the pic you posted is the older non Turbo I think. You can buy a brand new Long Block TDi from Ford parts for not too much money, so look closer at the body would be my advice. 2006 and newer Mercs are rebadged VW LT46's whihc is a good thing, 5 Cylinder Turbo Diesel, but I doubt you will get one for your budget.

so..... Are you asking for someone to buy the car, or 'deal' with the Mrs??

Wow check this out !! Button-Tastic untitled.bmp 1982 Lancia Orca

Wow, think of the depreciation on this !! Only 58Ks and what where they new NZ $250K ?? NICE

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds ? When I put my DICE unit in it did strange things till I did that. I think the iBus needs to 'see' it and reset ?

OK, Finally got a chance to check this. It seems to save the files with extension .pvr , which does seem to be proprietary ? My Mac will not recognize it, but I have not tested on Windows yet ( have wrong USB key with me today ) However, I did find that the unit will happily play .avi and mp3 and jpegs Will try the .pvr after lunch, it may work on VLC player...... -

The symptoms sound like what my 540i did. Turned out it was the ignition switch, common failure apparently. But as others have suggested, without further testing this is just an idea, and holds no merit until proven
