This is off the BMW topic, but no use asking on the NZMCA forum as most posters are 80+ and don't really understand what I am asking I have a Ex Maui 6 Berth Motorhome and are looking for a LCD Monitor to run a reverse camera, that is nice and clear, bright and daylight viewable. I have tried a couple ex eBay, 7 inch jobbies with GPS etc, but even with the brighteness turned all the way up and a glare guard fitted, the screen is really only viewable at night !! I have decided to use my TomTom for GPS, as it is far superior, so the monitor would be for the reverse camera only. Quite important, as centre rearview is no existant and dangerous at camp sites with kids ruinning around etc. I have considered pulling a high res screen out of a salvage camera, but would be simpler if there is something on the market that is better quality than 95% of the reverse monitors out there. I even considered using a iPad Mini, but there is no way I know to get AV input into that ..... is there ?? I hope somebody may have been thru this and found a good one ! Thanks

My Son's E36 has a floppy sunvisor on the drivers side - it will not stay up. Is there a clip or something that needs to be replaced, or is he better to get a salvage visor ? Anybody wrecking a E36 ? Thanks

It is a shame that the NZ new cars are so Povo spec ! No screen, no steering wheel controls etc - but the dealer says 'TOP SPEC' At that age I would expect cooling and ABS module at least to need work / replacement.

Sorry if this is a repost, but just found out about this monster !! 700hp and 720 Nm Go to this link X5 LM Ride Scroll down and watch the video. Here is a project for someone !!! Well probably not the S70/2 but maybe a M70 powered X5 ??

Reminds me of this car : They basically got a crappy Civic and added every tacky add on part they could find on eBay The full video is actually a laugh !! ( glue on 'Brembo' covers, PVC rollcage etc !! )

I like it in white like your first pic White is a good background for sponsors decals too ..... -
Drove past that on way to Pat Benatar concert - had to laugh at the Wine Tasting Cafe on the same site ! I guess you could do that AFTER your drive !!

Only that it belonged to a BMW fan - she now drives a Z4 3.0 and a ACS X5 Would have been fairly well looked after I would assume.

On one hand the Govt goes on about recycling, waste etc, and then they do not allow this car with only 36K on the clock to be registered on our roads ........... Still , the importer should have known better, rules are clearly stated I guess. Does seem an aweful waste .....

I have one of these in the shed, works great. 1938 Sun Autocycle. 2 Stroke, you pedal it like a pushbike, hold the decompression lever, drop the clutch and the motor starts. Runs on the smell of an oily rag. Still runing the original Pink Spark plug that you can dismantle and clean etc. Sweet Ride

I have a mate who had a NZ new 300TE, lovely car but crippling repair bills. Every time he drove it something broke !! And it was NZ New, one owner who always serviced at dealer etc. Sold it for scrap in the end And that is from the era when Mercs were supposed to be built well !! -
Probably just 'lost' in the recent Server upgrade - it is nothing personal I am sure

If they get caught ...... ( I know it is from a different country )

That reminds me, after replacing the ABS module in my E39 for the 3rd time, and seeing that failure of them seems to be blamed on heat, and the factory shield does not go as far as the module, I was thinking of putting some heat shield material up to stop so much heat getting from the manifold to the module. So ... what I am asking is do you have any spare for sale ??

I missed the PRIME airing, part of the problem with MySky is that you fast forward the adverts and do not catch what is coming up. ( 1st world problem ) How long was the episode on PRIME ? I watched it on iTunes, and it was 62 minutes with no ads, so surely the PRIME version is editted ? I might keep watching on iTunes, as it is only us$ 20 for the HD version or $13 for SD

I like the look of the silver car parked next to it in photo 6 - what is that ??
