Hi all, The E36 is coming out of the garage to be used as a wedding car. Cheers for your help in advance

Agree with Dan Road pads of your choice, change to Hawk track pads or similar. Uprated brake fluid. And your good to go
-
Glad to read you had a great time, track days are a lot of fun. Interesting that you also had powersteering problems at taupo. I only had the fluid "boil" that once, left a puddle in the pits. No melting. I'd never had a problem at Hampton Downs, which I would have thought would work the steering harder. Ended up underdriving the steering pump after some internet research. 😁

Well the old C33 give up the ghost. Found myself a CD43 did my due diligence (ye right) installed radio sounds great. Played a single CD fine now for my CD changer........... Wouldn't you know it, I have a M-Bus not the required I-Bus...... the old US model v Euro So run a new I-Bus cable and up grade CD changer to match. Roughly $450-500 old school Or Dension lite bt verses GROM su3 ........approx the same price modernised What do think ?

Ye I was pleasantly surprised how helpful they were. Of course, bugger. Boy don't you love trying to do something different

Harper, There is a difference between the two videos. Maybe not the end result but how they got there. I'm sure the CSL seat would slide forward as well as tilt and could been initiated by a rear passenger. Your call on legality, but rear seats out for WOF and no insurance when you would ready need it. As Dave said give Wellington a call get clarification, because as I found certifiers can/ do interpret the rules differently. Hope it works out Mark

I did and the slider worked off the seats folding lever. (Not fixed back) Harper the E36 tunnel didn't allow me get the distance required over the full lenght/height of the seat back. If I remember it was 30-40mm short at the base of the seat and pillar.

Hawk dtc-70 for my driver training days. And once cooled down on the drive home, the 70s clean the rotors. So no problems with putting my street pads back on.

Hi Lee No it doesn't sound good, have you tried the long screw drive to your ear. This will help pin point the area of the noise.

Ideas for getting brake dust bits out of wheel paint
sweetm3 replied to M M's topic in Wheels & Tyres
If your using race pads, the dust turns rock hard if it gets wet/damp. "Moto muck" and a number of application's and patience. -
Blow out the cob webs from mine today, nothing like a bit of full throttle

It did look good, Andrew. 😀

Hi guys, I need a new set of track tyres for my E36 M3, my existing setup is on 17 x 8 rims and Toyo R888 235/40/17 and of course I want my cake and to eat it too. Toyo's if you can get them are $680 (ouch) AR1 are an option 245/40 may require ride height change to fit. So I would love to test fit a 17 x 8 rim with a 245/40/17 from the list below. PM me if you can help Cheers Mark Width Section Width Section Width Tread Overall Diameter Toyo R888R 235/40ZR17W 241 / 9.5 620 245/40ZR17W 249 / 9.8 627 Hankook Ventus TD Z221 245/40ZR17W 252 /9.9 232 /9.1 630 Hankook Ventus Z214 245/40ZR17W 247 / 9.7 232 /9.1 625 Nankang AR1 245/40ZR17W 248 / 9.8 628
