  1. My Alpina has 2 containers as well. one is for water and the other for cleaner...
  2. Car sounds gloooooorious Never saw you around Kohi when i lived there?
  3. sh*t boy, lookin GOOD! what did you use???
  4. Good thing about the 316i is that it has FL styling, and guys, how much rust has anyone found in a FL compared to a pre- FL! I have had 2 manual 316i's, and they were amazing. At 200km my first one's clutch died, and at 200km my second (less well loved, but still mint) ones tappets got noisy and needed replacing. thats ALL i did to them. I'd highly reccomend it. Unless he currently drives a powerful car, he wont find performance lacking too much at all. (unless car is full of mates)

    My new 325i

Not sure about the hole, i never have been good at them,.... But nice car, and if you were wondering, those are alpina skirts commonly found on pre- FL Alpina E30's

    Northland Floods

What a sucky, but super exciting day we had!!! Amazing weather today, just sucks that all the harbours and rivers are still brown- no boating for me!

    Emma's M325i

7" TFT?? what a load of old shhhIITT
  8. Check here and do a search, i remember someone doing 728i mods, something about it being a purposefully strangled engine as standard.....
  9. oh you won out there bro- ive paid less for an alpina spoiler before!
  10. Not wide enough for me either- big gaps either side!
  11. I have no idea what ollie wants it for ...
  12. I have the plastic bbs spoiler from my car (as in pics, but it was mounted incorrectly on a bowed up bootlid) lying around, but is designed for facelift styling..... (needs low rear to balance height or spoiler) I just put a zender rubber lip on my car- looks tits on the 'pinna, nicer looking than the standard square alpina one....

    Heater core removal

Cheers, will try pop in on my way up north tonight
  14. I have a leak problem with my non- air con heater (when i bought the car the heater was disconnected). The valve is easy to take off, but the core wont come out without taking the top (metal) bulkhead pipe off? The screws connecting the metal bulkhead pipe to the core are on the wrong side for me to undo!!! How is this done? does the WHOLE heater box need to come out?? How?
  15. sand it, then Leather filler, and then re- colour. No idea where to get the products though....

    Bmw n00b

Just as others have said- pre '88 318i manual should do the job very well indeed. - To all 2003/4 members, way back then i remember the M40's were always spoken of as 'bulletproof engines' which 'go forever'. My how things have changed in a few years?
  17. I'll second that one. All you wanted was a yes or a no. Nobody likes being shot from the sky guys. At the same time I'll say what someone else said- cheap things that work, tend to be popular and common. That electric thing isnt either, i imagine. Churr

    325i

Yeah its very nice. I have an Alpina C2 myself, but this coupe just seems cheap for what it's got....

    325i

Found it for sale today, very dirty, price is low and neg.... what would you fulla's pay for it? alpina sides, unknown front and rear?? Mtech wheel, 130 miles (bout 200km) new jamex springs, OBC etc, usual crap. Lots of dirt and dust too
  21. I'm relying on the source of all knowledge google machine, so correct away! (the conversion bit is sumthn i saw in a bmw mag once, saying they'll 2.8 hartge-ize e36's)
  22. In the UK there is a place/ way/ option that turns standard cars into 2.8 hartge ones..... i'd say its a proper motor.... looks fun. Wheel would def be aftermarket- bmw wouldnt have shiny bits! (at the same time, my old alpina wheel is made by momo and has momo etching as well as alpina) There is an E36 with H28 badge on back of it near my dads place- but i cant find e36 hartge on the net? That front kit is hartge
  23. Keen for what? welcome mate
  24. I'll second the budget Singapore spec..... common espesh with 735i's. Seriously some E65's which look good are RUBBISH, so get it checked checked and checked again! (or if its a dealer saying that they have given it the check, find out about the 'recalls' (known faults that were not recalled) and question them
  25. E65's are really nice to drive, etc etc like any other seven, but yes they do have the E65 probs, and also the 7 series servicing and parts (believe me- they DO always go in to the shop when money is no issue) Does the 7 have that horrible light coloured matt finish wood, or high gloss? the matt looks really cheap. E65s are very high- its great sitting in the traffic and seeing over other people! Make sure it has had the known E65 probs fixed- power steering bolts etc(the dealers know the faults) An E60 530d would win hands down in this case so far as an all round car goes. But this isnt a diesel, its a petrol. The 3L is very very smooth in E60's, you cant feel the power through your foot like you can in an E39(but it's there). Handling is superb, and the steering is great (not a noticable naff item, it sort of works in the background without you knowing) If I had that money right now i would go for the 735, but only because i always want bigger better. A smarter choice all- round(for MYSELF) would be the 5.
