Two guys gassing a red 850i up Emily place in the city at around lunch time. Plate CLLXXX

Temp sender maybe Byron? Or, can you hear any hissing from the engine (could be a vacuum leak but I'd be suprised as the intake elbow is new)? Also, brake lights staying on could be the switch above the brake pedal gone slightly out of adjustment - give it a nudge away from the pedal.

Another Max! Welcome along. Tourings are sweet, more photos stat please

Good to hear Glenn. I must come say hi, haven't done so for ages. I want to talk with whoever does your twitter - hes a muppy!

Oil through the intake occurs naturally to an extent. What colour smoke? Blue = oil, black = fuel (rich), white = steam

^ Buy those. Timeless, subtle, classic. Mine are for sale once Foxy sells his (you are right AJ). The staggered 17x8 17x9s off my E30 will be for sale soon also (I'm going back to weaves), let me know if you are interested

You need the driveshaft (or just the front half) from a 325i manual. If you just get a front half it might need balancing with your old back half (although the two times I've done it I haven't needed to - just lined up the white marks).

Looks great, good to have you around. Keep us updated.

Should re-grease the caliper sliders when you put them back in too, I was told to use copper grease.

Clicking sound possibly from a hose hitting the fan? I have a stethoscope you can borrow if you want listen to the waterpump.

Camshaft position sensor? Pretty sure it doesn't have one.

My golfs timing is weird at idle. The timing mark jumps around with every fire both to the advance and the retard side randomly. What could be causing this? Dizzy cap, rotor, and plugs are new. The mark then disappears off to the right when rev'd. The motor is basically the same as an M10.. 1.8 single cam with all the bosch engine electronics of that era. Cheers.

I'd vote against ie9 as it falls over with embedded video a lot of the time. +1
