  1. So went to start on the deck liner only to remember (or actually got reminded from a mate) that my ute doesn't have the wavy strips most utes have, so off we went to try track down something that would work....AAANNNDDD we found 3m strips of carpet liner door stoppers, which actually work pretty damn well. Price was a little steep at $45 a strip and I needed almost 15meters. Drilled a few holes and used some flat head screws to slide into the strips and hold it into place. NOW hopefully I can get the deck liner on over the next few days. Also picked up a M5 rear bumper from Ray@HellBM today, plan is to mutate the standard touring and M5 sedan into one.
  2. Selling my E39 Msport steering wheel Single Stage Airbag. Will fit E36 and E46 too. $250 incl MF Buttons and Airbag. Slip ring will need new connectors as ive used them for my other wheel. Will get a photo up tonight of the actual wheel, but it looks like this...
  3. Went out to meet Ray and the team today, impressive collection indeed. Got some good tips for the FULL SMG gearbox conversion for the ute next year. Definitely loving the HellBM vibe...
  4. Pretty Sure Jerry Clayton has them. They look similar to the 5 from what I remember. I was talking to Evan from parts about the same thing.
  5. I'm busy with a magnetic entry swipe system for my E39 ute. If you short 12v+ to fuse 6 or 27, you can get it to open from the inside
  6. Quote of the day! I love it!
  7. Not much of an update, since im waiting till Saturday to get the deck liner and rubber strips done. So decided to start on the tail gate. Quite a bit of rust had to be cut out and grinded out. then sprayed a few coats of rust converter after getting it to bare metal. Will spend most of tomorrow shaping the body filler to the flow of the tailgate and then install the lock (hopefully it works) Last time the beasty will see the 528i badge...
  8. So that dual stage airbag?

    Cleaned it

Normally id say 'You missed a spot', but in this case I don't think I can. Look pretty noice.
  10. ummm, not quite Timber. Will be 3 stainless lift trays
  11. Or even a sedan one, worse case is that I will need to mould the factory touring one into a M sedan one
  12. Few hours spent sanding and grinding the surface rust away (Even with a mask, my nostrils are blocked pretty dang well, smells like man and metal). Then went over with a scrubber sponge and meths. Wiped down with some watered-down rust converter then once dry, a few rough coats of primer to help identify all imperfections that need to be fixed before Saturday, hopefully there aren't too many to do. Will give it a decent wet sand on Friday. Have also ordered some decent heating lamps from JA Russell, those should arrive over the next few days along with 3L of Hippo Deck Liner.
  13. Saw you from car folie when you were like near the motorway this morning. She sure does stick out
  14. Yea, some pretty epic show down one one page
  15. Thanks I was actually rendering some photos for another website im building and I couldn't believe the amount of work that's been done AND that's still to be done. But baby steps ah sh*t yes it is, hence why I wont be painting it, especially for the colour I want. Amber has the colour sample at CarFolie of the colour im after, so if I cant get it painted in that colour, it will be wrapped. Not a bad idea, im actually opening a "workshop" next year in Mount Wellington and I already have a paint booth, needs some TLC and I have to get it brought up from my cousins workshop in Gordonton, but once its up and going with fans and heat lights, will probably rent it out to BimmerSport members. ps, I just figured out how to use the MultiQuote thingy...
  16. haha yea the masking is ONLY for the Bed / Deck Liner going in this weekend. And yes, will defiantly be taking it back to shell before prepping it for primer.
  17. Cheers for that, ive just sent them an email. Need to sort out some custom adjustable shocks for the rear of my car
  18. Who do we have on here that can supply adjustable shocks?
  19. I think that having a female (especially if they're into their cars) be part of the organizing of a social event like the Euro Meet or Bimmerfest, is a key aspect to having it succeed. I guess its because the opposite sex thinks differently, hence why my Old Ladies marketing company does so well.
  20. Yep, ill give that a go tonight. They are approx. 3-4MB each, so hopefully Gmail can allow large files
  21. I was in a Japa (insert ashamed remark here) Bt yea, next meet. Hopefully ill have a BMW to drive then.
  22. Yea its just had a massive coolant over haul. 11.3L of semi decent coolant from repco. Hasn't got a new waterpump installed yet, but that will def be on the list to replace along with the radiator and sensors. Like I don't mind getting the motor rebuilt at a worse case scenario, but like its been said above, if I don't have to, I wont But the engine will need to also look pretty as the engine bay will be repainted and a complete wiring overhaul too.
  23. Yep yep, ill get them for you tonight. Might just give them to you tomorrow on a USB stick or something
  24. Yea good day indeed. Amber and the team did a great job. They should look at doing Bimmerfest next here... I tried keeping an eye out for you, but couldn't see you. Then again ive only met like 4 people from here, so don't know how anyone else looks
  25. Yea will keep that in mind. Just need to start getting a list together for the gasket set and cooling. Will have to come get a radiator off you soon. the other one has a slight crack just under the second hose connection
