    e36 320i - 194km/h

Must have been a long stretch of downhill road
  2. Couple of questions. Is thatfor two? How hard it would be to get longer wheel nuts? Will they “need†certification?
  3. I wouldn’t say that, look at how cheap the E36 M3’s are getting and they are rarer than the E46 M3. The E46’s are becoming cheaper as service and maintenance costs are very scary. We looked at one and it drove like a pig due to the second owner not accounting for maintenance costs and cutting corners. The price of the 170k new car’s goes down but repair costs stays the same. Also there are no NZ new M-Sport 545i’s for sale at peasant meaning they are rarer and more sort after. Little bugger, get him banned… of maybe he is helping create interest.
  4. Happens to me too but im not to worried.
  5. If I was looking for a weekend car and had 25k to spend I would go for a mint 3.2 E36 M3 EVO Manual. Or one of these they really are a fantastic drive.
  6. Yep Velcro, didn’t want any holes, it still moves though as I like cornering. You could maybe fit a compact amp under the seats but there is no way in hell you could mine. What do you mean active? Like amp the woofer and the tweeter separately. Looks good.
  7. Yep, a Kicker mounted back to front on the other side. You cant mount an Amp under the seats on an E30 unfortunately.
  8. Love the number plate Ray
  9. This car is very rough and would need quite a bit spent to get it up to a decent standard.
  10. I have a staple gun. It looks like you simply skin your standard seats and put these over the foam.
  11. Hey norm, what about some of these?? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LEATHER-SPORT-SEAT-...1QQcmdZViewItem Look good to me.
  12. He doesn’t have an M5 he has a E90 323i. Surely you stock cloth looks better than seat covers!! Seat covers are horrible. There are plenty of custom places out there that make them, there was one in Mt Wellington by Moyes and there is also one in Manukau by burger fuel.
  13. Cheers mate, just posted it up as I was stuck when it come to ideas for the system as most people in the UK that had upgraded them just cut wholes and made huge boxes with external mounted amps, I wanted something usable and relatively easy to convert back to stock if need be. I can report it sounds very nice, better quality sound than the stereo in the E60. Have spent too much on it in the last few months to just flog it off, given someone offered me a decent amount for it I would let it go as I really need some garage space.

    E30 Touring

The plastic AFM adapter from super cheap self destructed a couple of weeks ago and got jammed in the throttle causing it to stay fully open.. This happened when a potential buyer and BS member was driving it witch was very embarrassing. If you are going to fit an aftermarket intake I would strongly recommend a metal adapter. Plastic FTL Here are a few Pictures I took over the weekend.
  15. Well I finally finished my install, I wanted the system to be easily removed and didn’t want to drill are cut any holes in the standard trim as parts for Touring’s are hard to replace and I also wanted to keep the luggage area usable. I ended up with a Pioneer DEH-P895BT head unit with Hands free Bluetooth phone and IPod control. As far as features this economical head deck is great but in terms of user friendliness and basic menu navigation it is horrible, the centre drive button controls a whole host of basic functions and is absolutely useless when driving as bumps will have you skipping tracks when trying to perform other basic functions. I needed the CD-I200 cable to have full I pod control witch the sting you a few more bob for. On the upside it sits nicely in the dash unlike the model up from it witch stuck out like the dogs bollocks. Painted the surround black to match. Being restricted to the factor mount point I went with TS-C131PRS Component speaker system, the 13cm woofer sounds amazing for their size and the tweeters are defining. Problems faced were the crossover unit’s size and the Woofers restricting the interior light pin switch from working properly as the magnets were so huge. If I were to do it again I would go for a 16cm woofer and door mount them for better mid range. In the back I utilised the factory enclosures and mounted a pair TS-E1076 10cm 2 ways for a bit of mid range and some rear vocal. These were the biggest surprise for me as mounted in the factory enclosure and amped they do a fantastic job. I ran all these speakers off a GM-6300 4 channel amplifier mounted in the rear storage side box. For some bass we used a Kicker Solo Baric L7 10inch sub mounted in a semi compact custom box with port and easy to disconnect speaker cables. This little 10 inch defies logic and produces lots of noise. We mounted the Kicker SX651 amplifier up in side storage box behind the Jack and first aid kit. You could build a much better system than this but this is a great solution if space is precious and you don’t want to hack anything up. Thanks PS: I posted this up in hope it might help someone wanting to do something similar, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. Big thanks to Jamie at Pro Custom Installs for his help! Jamie is a Kicker retailer and also does Cyclops alarm.. he could build you anything you may want and can recommend the right kind of system for you. He told me this 10†would be better than the two 12†I had and he wasn’t lying.
  16. rear drum breaks Piece of Jap cuck.
  17. Its brand new as in never been driven, brand spankers…Its like when you open the box to your new running shoes and slip them on, they smell and feel great, there is not one mark on them and no other person has had the privilege of running them in before you.
  18. If you can afford the depreciation it’s not a problem. It’s the price you pay to have the latest and greatest. There is a notable difference between brand new and 20,000km… Also I have NZ car magazines for every month from the last 20years (and older) in my shed, they all have prices in them.

Wow you are a freak! You should be representing NZ in Ping Pong!
  20. Same here. Faild last WOF. I can sagest you dont go to the tint place across the road from Mag And Turbo warehouse in Manukau.
  21. From memoy the 328i was about 110k new. My 545i was over 170k 3 years ago. I remember mum buying a new E30 in the eightys for 60+.
  22. What do you need to polish glass for? For cleaning glass I use News Paper and average glass cleaner, looks awesome.
  23. Could be worse. Thank god it was only a E36 What are you seats like??
  24. The glass is normally as dirty as the paint though. We should have a show and shine this summer! (sorry im apparently small minded as I love detailing) I got mine from here. http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/ Took two weeks for delivery which is actually faster than NZ plates. The first set I got were from Germanplates.com and were white on black, make sure you get Silver on black. I have been pulled over a couple of times and the cops didn’t seem to care, the only people who do are Personalised plates NZ as they aren’t getting your money.
