  1. Mate they are 50% more expensive there where Falcodors are 30% cheaper. The way it should be. I for one wouldn’t be driving a E60 if I lived in Ausi!
  2. Yep, the amount of fricken dreamers out there!! I think it’s a mixture of late lonely nights, alcohol and an internet connection, You wouldn’t believe some of the questions and crap offers I have been given in the past, and a few times I have actually excepted a low offer the people didn’t actually have any money! Must be an entertainment thing.
  3. That’s cool, the dealers would have been stoked with the publicity and insurance payout! Oh and HSV’s dont handle bad if you know how to drive them! Because HSV’s are quite cheap in Australia, role reversal with BMW’s here.
  4. Diesel on the road is bad, I hit a patch at 80KPH in East Tamaki one night and ended up backwards in a large sign 200m down the road, luck there wasn’t anyone standing on that far down the road. It comes back to my first statement of not having a problem with skids as long as they are decent, if you need lubricant you not doing it properly.. or are simply inadequate. I do think a drag strip and skid pad would be cool to have in Auckland.

    E30 Touring

It’s not a kit, I made it myself using a Simota Carbon airbox. I got the Carbon Fibre Intake from here http://www.broomfish.co.nz/ they are the NZ importer so you will save a few bucks. I got the adapter, clamps and silicone pipe from Supercheap, and the 4 little nuts to adapt the adapter from Mitre 10. The advantage of a set up like this is no hot air getting in and a great Pod Filter sound! I will be getting a better feed pipe next time im at Supercheap.

    I need new Cats

Speaking from experience I wouldn’t go removing a catalytic converter if your car has a sensor on or after it, it could cause all sorts of problems

    E30 Touring

It sounds really good, I was shocked to be honest, it doesn’t sound much stock (kind of like my old L200 Ute) but this has given it a nice sporty note. I am under the impression that the stock air boxes on BMW’s are very efficient so doubt this would have done anything for power. 2.5 one day, Im waiting for a good one to step out in front of me, ideally want a de-reg of body damaged/rusty 325i with good leather and a good motor to strip for parts. . Im in no hurry.
  8. Cool, I will have to look that up. My 320i does mean skids, I got a wheel going on some course chip in the wet once, I was like D1 here I come. I have no problem with skids as long as they are quality, I live next door to a LARGE car park that looks like a burnout pad and have become immune to the sound of skids. Some of the crap skids theses people are doing is discussing. If anyone wants to do legal burnouts (static warm up) come to the Bimmersport Drag day and show us what your cars made of.
  9. Ha, my E30 has those features as factory!

    Drift e30

Mine too, you could still have a 325i badge. This was in a Performance BMW mag a few months back. Apparently the wagons are good drifters. http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drifting-c...ring-drift.html
  11. Was following one the other day and both were going… so I gave him some high beam. Wanker. Sorry pet hate. They do come in handy when being tailgated though.
  12. Good stuff guys, a couple of nice M3’s there. What colour is your M3 Crazyarab?
  13. can this be done on the E60??
  14. Having looked at their website I would be inclined to believe they have given up on this and I bet its because of ECU hassles or maybe realization that people will most likely fork out the extra for a M5.
  15. 333bhp stock. Having supercharged a late modeled car before I would personally steer clear of a supercharger system, believe me or not but there will be a whole host of issues with this system. First thing to consider is how your stock open diff is going to transfer power and how your gearbox will handle over 550nm when it’s rated for a lot less. The fuelling side of things is where things will become very difficult and expensive. I would like to do an AFE Intake, Exhaust system, Superchips remap and an LSD, I believe these mods would turn the 545i into a real beast, but retain reliability.

    german plates

Haha that’s quite funny, I wonder if it could work. Just walk into VTNZ with the plate and get them to register it to the car. Worth a try.

    german plates

Nice one, they look nice. Gotta get some new BDEDLY plates, moulding taped them on the Astra and bent them to fark pulling them off. Im thinking plain white and black would look cool. Not fussed about rules and what not, we still go a WOF with Silver on Black and iv been pulled over a few times without mention of legalities.
  18. Good point I wouldn’t recommend Autosol, its to abrasive and scratches the plastic.
  19. I did mine with glass cleaner.. Maybe isopropyl alcohol., just don’t get it on the paint. Maybe get some new ones? Where the hell has your E46 been mate, seems like a fair whack of corrosion.
  20. Go the hooters girls! Liking the Dodge Charger also, would be cool if they brought the charger and challenger here. Looks like a good trip.
  21. I prefer option two. What brand are your wheels? Im guessing they are 19x8
  22. Stink mate. Like said, sometimes it’s more economical to buy new. I once failed a WOF on a leaky shock so I instructed to tester to fit a second hand shock to amend the problem (I was selling the car and thought I’d save a few bob) which he did, after a few days of driving I was convinced the car was crab walking so I took it back to the mechanic who found he had been supplied a bent strut.
  23. I don’t think it would affect it at all. The TC would most likely say thanks buy you a box of chocolates and retire. I wonder if we could work out how to build some locally, the Quaif LSD from England is bloody pricy for what is essentially a Cog.

    cant decide!

Go for number two, and hook me up with a set while you’re at it. I have seen them on Trade me for $350 witch I feel is a rip considering they cost under a hundy in Thailand. Also Aftermarket lights should be at the end of the modification list as they just look stupid on a semi stock car.
  25. It’s funny alright, I went out to a party on the weekend and everyone was making comments about how it looked phat and that the missus and I must be loaded.. Not one person asked what it was like to drive, what features or model it was or what engine it was running. I think they are perceived that they are all about the look. They also don’t understand how good value they are. My brother gave me sh*t when I got the 545i for not buying a HSV of the same cost and said that I just brought it for the badge, then he drove it, I haven’t heard anything about HSV ever since. I have reframed from fitting stylish mags to the E30 for the fear of it being pinched.
