The E90 M3 had exactly the same front end throughout production and the face lift did not change the front at all, the rear end was updated but not at the same time as the rest of the E90 range, from what I can see it must have been later in 2010 meaning only some of our 2011 models would have received the newer rear end. Seeing the all M cars are built on a different program and feature different parts, wider fenders, bumpers etc to the rest of the range it is not uncommon for a M-Car to miss facelift features at first or all together as often it is uneconomical to re tool the platform for the small amount of cars sold, a perfect example is the BMW E30 M3 that ran a pre facelift body all the way through. Hope that help explain.

I see a green touring around Papakura a lot, low in the back and a 316i badge. You go to my gym and work at Toyota i'm guessing as its always parked at the back of Toyota in Takeamimi. Stalking you out

X2 for EuroItalian. Well worth buying a new one IMHO.

Yep, it is very cheeky considering you are getting no local service and the goods are from another country so cant see why they are taxed? First and only time I brought some second hand wheels from OZ not only did I get done on GST I got done on a MAF inspection, the second hand wheels ended up costing the same as buying them new in NZ. Lesson learnt.

The M325i is more than that to me personally, I have had a few E30's and none were as nice to drive or had the total package the M325i has and it would cost you a lot to convert any E30 to M325i spec. To this day it is the most fun car I have owned.

Gotta love this guys attitude and what he has been doing.. Enjoyed this interview: Also check out his website and some of his builds, the Baja E30 is funny as all hell. Great place to have a poke around if you are a BMW fan. http://caswellmotorsport.com/

Same here, downloaded it as an update ages ago, tried it with my mac book and the wife's I-Phone and found it to be very frustrating to use. Not a simple bump, more 1000 questions and a pain TBH.

The OEM type as fitted to the E30 M325i. I know these are sort after and I may be dreaming but I really want some. Have been looking to buy a 325i SE in manual with them fitted but it seems a rarity and most have had aftermarket wheels fitted or have the inadiquate 14" version, so I think I will just buy the wheels and keep looking for a car. Not interested in anything else. What’s reasonable for these wheels, $500-1000 depending on condition, will buy rough without centre caps if needed be. Also, does anyone know if they can be purchased brand new? Thanks

Quaife do them for all BMW's. I have a Quaife in my race car and it works well. Would cost say $2,500 to buy and have installed on a new three series. Well worth it IMHO.

I love it! No critic here. Just want a red 328i with a manual and a LSD. Take some photo's and drive it like a press car should be driven, you should be covered by insurance, I have had a few press cars and they are quite relaxed with it as long as you are over 25 and have a licence. Suit up and go and visit people you don't like in it just to make them jealous at your new found success as an important salesman for some important thing or whatever the demographic is for BMW three Series buyers.

+2 Awesome service. I hear he needs money for racing.

Most come from out of town actually, seems its easier to intimidate and take over in a small town.

Its the same one that has been on the F30 for the last year AFAIK?
-
Possibly this one. http://www.thread.co.nz/news/6511/15/Smell...,thread-article Reminds me of the perfume dispenser in the 207, I remember James May commenting it did a good job of making the car smell like a 10 year old Taxi. Women's Day car of the year apparently. Wonder what deal Women's Day have done?

Well done Jono, im sure you will be great at whatever you do!

Looks like any car designed by Zagato to me.

No they did two models, the GT was the entry level model, same engine, suspension and brakes but did without the AYC and 6 speed as a cheaper alternative at $59k new, then they was the GSR at 68k, the GSR had partial leather upgraded Recaro's, active yaw control and a six speed gearbox. The GT is arguably the better drive, especially if you like gravel. IMHO The 9 is the best EVO of them all, they are a great all rounder and a much more involving and faster drive than the Evolution 10 yet more civilized and flexible than the EVO 8.

+1. She is "in charge" of the inside never to touch the outside. Ever.
-
Nice. Drove one of these when they were new and really enjoyed it, the GT forgoes Active Yaw Control and 6-Speed gearbox for a Mechanical Rear Diff and 5-Speed. Good luck with the sale, looks like a nice car.

As it is so often most of us do not appreciate and respect someone until they pass, have been watching and reading tributes to the guy the last week and he was on hell of a marketer, driver and talented people person. Anyone read this?? What a great story! http://www.amazon.com/Go-Like-Hell-Ferrari...e/dp/0618822194

Haha Ask DRTDVL how the Coke Golfs are going, he mentioned that near the entire fleet are on their second or third gearbox and they have up to 7 cars at VW getting fixed at any one time. He also mentioned they have moved to Kia's. If you want the skinny on whats good and whats not talk to a fleet manager. That's bull sh*t, I'm not sure how realistic your budget is or said car but there are plenty of options. You can still buy a shed load of basic no thrills cars that are 5-Star safety rated and economical. Look at Corolla for example, basic 1.8 Twincam, no thrills packaging, same with most Jap and Korean cars. You can still buy a 116i with just the basics... I don't know why you would though. Focus, under 30k. Great value. http://fordhotdeals.co.nz/

Agreed. Its 2012 not 1992, a humble Ford Focus at under 40k NZ has multimedia center with sat-nav and other luxury items you don't get for free on luxury brand cars costing twice as much. You can argue the dynamic advantages of a luxury brand car until you are blue in the face but the truth is there is very little distinguishing them in real world terms when out on the road day to day driving.
