More info and spy shots here: http://news.drive.com.au/drive/motor-news/new-bmw-m3-sedan-set-for-2013-debut-20120629-217o1.html There was talk that the next gen Clio RS was DSG only, there was a huge stink about it from the manual fans! If they want to sell cars mums and keep the greenies happy it needs to be an option.

Selling this for my mother, we have had it for 10 or so years and it has been a great car, my wife has been driving it the last couple of years and has enjoyed it. Two lady owners since NZ new from Jerry Clayton in 1999, I has been hand washed and garaged. Enthusiast owned. Maintenance has been done on schedule and has always been undertaken by professionals to high standards. Features include: * Deep Metallic Blue Paint * Full Leather. * Dark Wood trim. * Electric Seats with Memory function * Factory Alarm and Immobilizer. * Auto Dimming rear view mirror. * Front, Side and Curtain Airbags (6) * Active Stability Control * Parking Sensors * Chrome accent package that includes Side Moldings, Door Handles and Euro Plate Surround. * 6 Disk CD stacker and Premium Audio. * Spare Keys and Owners Handbook with all original documents. Powered by a silky smooth and acoustically pleasing 24 valve Straight Six with a recently serviced Steptronic 5 Speed Automatic this car gets off the line very fast and has good power on the open road for overtaking if need be. Car is in above average condition for age and millage, the main blemish is the curb marks on all wheels, please see photo for an idea. All maintenance is up to date. Please don't hesitate to call have you any questions or would like to arrange viewing or a test drive. I know it is priced on the high side but this is to appease the seller as that's what she thinks its worth, looks like they are priced anywhere between 8k and 15k. I would think offers around 11 would be nice but I am not unrealistic as to what they are actually worth and will consider genuine offers as its just taking up valuable space in my garage. As forum rules dictate I must list a price. Asking $12,000 ono I would be interested to hear what similar cars have been traded for recently. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=489662363 Thanks Graham 021460015

Possibly the coolest car I could ever imagine.

Would like to think a factory immobilizer in a BMW will be more effective than aftermarket given it is wired into the factory loom making it hard to find.
-
Keep searching mate, if its a tech 1 you are after best just wait

That is one mean looking 82

Nice. Really liking this new muscle car era, these new gen cars can actually handle and stop too! They do a factory "track pac" for the new model that looks like a bit of me. Better still check out the tuned version from about 4min on in this video! Yes please.
-
As do I. I am getting the meat sweats just looking at the pictures. Amazing work on the Bacon Glenn.
-
Was thinking that. lucky there was no one in that old thing, sh*t got owned by the "plastic car" I thought it was only the Corolla's that had the sticky accelerator... or was this bitch trying some drifter styles and lost it.

The old man in me sais what a pointless and dangerous piece of machinery that is the equivalent of some bogan Nissan Skyline fully mean as bro type car from Hamilton… The hoon in me is sitting here with a goofy smile nodding at those epic black lines! I just will leave them to argue it out and watch the video again. Thanks for sharing

Have we run out of BMW auctions to critique?

X2. Macca's drive through brown bag through the sliding window.. no cup holders though.

The RS6 is fast, very fast, but its also very heavy and very complex and expensive to maintain. The E39 M5 is a simple car, N/A V8, Getrag, LSD, RWD. Best M5 ever and where we all wish BMW M had of stayed. Supra would be faster than both though.

Just for you http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=492494

I think someone mentioned that above but yes, that is the idea and not a bad one, even with a broad torque spread in my car when racing I often run out of third gear and wish fourth was somewhere in between third and where it is now for optimum speed out of corners.
-
This, they are mother f**kers. And who wants a car off the road for a couple of moths between claims and repaired with the end result a two tone car.
-
Not that big a deal, would be awesome!!

My race car is a 2.0ltr Turbo with a 6-Speed and its geared to do about 270kph, seeing 200kph is about as fast as I go (we are limited but that is quite fast on a back road) it is actually over geared, having 6 gears geared to do 210 and a seventh as an overdrive would be awesome and keep the car in its peak torque range when on it. Also, a friend has a 1M and he has commented that its geared a bit short, BMW have chosen to compromise fuel economy and emissions and have geared it for optimum performance instead so an obvious and possible solution is to keep it as it is but add another cog as an overdrive to lower consumption but still retain performance, it would probably help with over all emissions also, i think you will find emissions regulations are a major reason for a lot of companies fitting DSG. I would sooner they invest the money in a 7 speed conventional manual than only offer a automatic DSG like Audi have done on the new RS4. Good on you BMW, looking for out of the box solutions in the pursuit of building the ultimate driving machine. IMHO etc.

Yea a few guys on a ausi forum I am on got done a while back, brand new car too. Needed a new bonnet and roof as well as a full respray.
-
Yucky.
-
Also hear BMW have put a patent forward for a 7 Speed Manual, a proper manual with a clutch pedal, so not DSG crap like all the other top dogs.

Interesting. Despite the next M3 sedan being at least 1.5 to 2 years away, we now know the following. It will be: Lighter than current M3 Faster than current M3 More powerful than current M3 More efficient than current M3 Powered by an inline 6 cylinder [turbo] engine Offered with optional or standard manual transmission (if previous spy photos are any indication) Introduced no earlier than late 2013 - early 2014 http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=694375 I just hope they do a touring this time... a M3 Touring would be my dream daily.
-
Supra would be faster.

Agreed. He is very honest and one of the only people I trust to deliver non bias and honest feedback on cars. I am liking the Drive channel and other presentations on YT as well, I honestly cant remember the last time I actually watched "real" TV anyway.

Will be a good one to follow on the Drive channel.
