The only part that rings true is having to hammer a screwdriver through the filter cause some twot did it up way too tight

Well i'd ask how his brother played with the idle and if he doesn't or can't say check that the Air Flow Meter hasn't been tampered with - should have a plastic piece covering the hole, if not then could be that...but could also be a vacuum leak, the Idle Control Valve, or the Throttle Position Sensor!
-
You will need to get a new chip to correctly increase the idle by a considerable rpm but if this is to fix a problem like the engine dying then look at fixing that problem.

I've been looking into Petone P&S/P&P (whichever is the correct acronym) shops as there's quite a few of them around (it's my suburb) but no info on which one to select. I have used The Surgery in the past but they are quite expensive and really quite out of the way - not to mention they seem to NOT want my business after the last round of emails I had with Mike

Have a look at this Cars and Images thread

I for one am an ardent supporter of getting transmission gully For anyone on the hutt side it really would save a massive amount of time and I wouldn't have any qualms paying having electronic tolling as the time and petrol saved would offset it automatically

I just went to my local and bought a new genuine badge for $45 (incl bmwcc discount) and threw my old one out as it was starting to crack and a flaky badge is just not neat

After thinking hard on this the open road and 100 are the same sign. You can be ticketed for wreckless driving on an open road if the conditions are adverse but not like the LSZ which is the one that dictates speeds on conditions.

So after a quick chat it was confirmed to me that Rockgas is a higher quality LPG and I was then pointed to the actual outlet and told to fill up there as it's cheaper, faster, and more reliable than servos. Closest one to me is across from Mitre 10 Mega in Petone.

That's exactly the problem i've had. Brand new bbq and bottle, freshly filled at BP, flames out if more than 2 elements are turned on, otherwise pissy flame. Tried neighbours 2 bottles, both on gas, same problem so we used his 2 bbq's, same problem. So 3 bbq's anmd 3 bottles no good no matter what config, poor flame and flame outs. So we grab a bottle from a friend who know's it was filled with rockgas from shell and all 3 bbq's work fine off it. Time to complain?

Has anyone else who's filled their bbq bottle with BP's On Gas lately experienced poor bbq performance?

Going to see if a Wellingtonian here has the right one before commiting to any more buy sight unseen deals

Looking for the bottom bellhousing cover plate from a M20 Getrag 260 gearbox, the piece that sits underneath the block covering the lower part of the bellhousing. My g/box didn't come with one when I bought it off T/M all those years ago and the one I have doesn't mate up correctly so time to fix this. PM if you have one available.

One Man's Crusade Against The Personalised Plates Monopoly

All the more reason to snap a photo of a cop care with euro plates! -
Be careful of some of the brands out there, there's some on trademe that have a dark look to them...this is because there's no reflective surface so the high beam becomes more like a dull candle that you can look directly at...will fail wof, not to mention will make night driving hazardous - the angel eyes are cool though. I've been looking for some legit darkened lights personally but there's nothing really decent in NZ

Before I got into intermarque sprints at Manfeild I did the advanced driver training day that ended up with 6 or 7 of us getting a good 30 mins of track time just going round and round, I did this on standard oem pads and they handled it remarkably well, but then that was mainly the hard braking into coke which in the 320 was only ~160kph but over 30 mins the handled it. I switched to bendix for the sprints but they're quite harsh IMO
-
I checked out some e30 headlights on the weekend with angel eyes, the angel eyes were definitely considerably brighter than the standard parking light, however, the highbeam lacked the reflective cone and wasn't bright enough IMO so that would fail in my books...hard to find the right set

All parties pull out bullshit election promises, it's politicsThis time last election National was leading the polls but look where they ended up, polls like this here and on websites are notoriously useless If only there was a decent centre party with a decent prospect to vote for

I see speed was a factor in the bmw crash that killed someone last night in Aucks too

Yip, I have my E30 insured for $6k and figured i'd drop it to $5k to save a little on the premium, didn't bother in the end cause it was only a matter of 50c per fortnight.

I'd like to think that some would pop up soon but i've got the case of not wanting to wait till xmas to get my new toys

What's a decent price range?
-
Yes, wrong offset, I had 35 in my head instead of 25 (for 7") when I was perusing the net - now reduces my choice to virtually nil
-
Which rubber (225/40 etc) would suit my E30 best if I were to obtain: 17x7 ET40 or 17x8 ET35 Currently sitting on jamex super lows - trying to source 16x7 rims but can only get 17x7 or 17x8 (for the style I like, Hartge/Alpina) Many thanks
