    EARTHQUAKE!

Haha, Aucklanders are softYou should've added the other part of that story
  2. I had parts to buy and Shelley's weren't so great so I actually ordered parts through Jeff Gray in Palmy and they sent them down to me, worked out better, I hear now that the Wellington Jeff Gray outfit has turned over some staff and their service is getting better.
  3. Man, don't jump to conclusions, could've been mechanical. Lucky there wasn't a front seat passenger.

    Brakes

That squeezing noise from the passenger side is you pushing your brake on the RHD side in a LHD origin manufactured car. The brake booster is on the left, there's a bar running from the pedal box to the left where the original pedal box would be, do the math.
  5. Bimmersport quiz nights coming to you soon

    90 e30 coupe

OT but why the F methven????????????????????????????????????????
  7. Could actually just be the TPS position. There's an atricle on e30net regarding setting that up. If your TPS doesn't register the throttle as being closed your ICV won't function. E: On that train of though, just as your throttle closes you should hear the TPS click, if it doesn't click then you've upset the TPS setting.

    Photo reduction

If you give a care towards the quality then you're better to use photoshop if you have it, right click on file and hit "Edit with Photoshop" then go "Edit" -> "Image Size" and reduce the size there.
  9. I drove on an LA freeway and was surrounded by big SUV's, like the one in that pic above, and felt completely unsafe and overwhelmed just by their sheer size. It seems that the USA is sooo obsessed with bigger being better in almost every aspect of their lives. NZ should NOT aspire to that mentality, i'd prefer we had a more continental train of though.
  10. I posted a thread a while back about NZ's ability to increase the ethanol content. Fonterra exports over 10 million (10,000,000) litres of pure ethanol to Russia every year for production of cheap vodka and that ethanol is just a by product of milk...makes you wonder really. Our older engines can easily run on mixtures of 35% ethanol, NZ should do it as it is a greener fuel.
  11. Borat was really popular with the chicks at the 7s...if you've got the package the mankini works.
  12. Treat large SUV's like a class 1 truck so people require the license to use one whereby the test would be an actual offroad course - that'd definitely remove their use as suburban taxis. E: and while they're at it they need to do what they do in europe and introduce compulsory insurance that is structured on power output and age.
  13. Find a 260 box for the M4x, they're bigger but more robust
  14. For a 320i running a normal manual box you want the 3.64 medium or 3.65 small, they interchange very easily, bar the actual lining up to bolt the f**kers in
  15. Someone do a write up on reconditioning the master and slave cylinders, in the style of this http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index.php?showtopic=1931 BNT have the master and slave repair kits for $30 and $20 respectively last time I looked (I wouldn't trust ripco). They also have new master cylinders for $130 and new slave cylinders for $50 with OEM master cylinders from BMW being $180 so reconditioning is the way.
  16. You would expect that after 6 years of development it would be compatible with software running on XP and be faster and more stable. I am still going to wait till the MSDN version with the service pack becomes avaialble before I switch.
  17. My friend bought a laptop from Harvery Norman yesterday after looking at their brochure, against my judgement, ended up being not quite what the brochure actually said in a worse sense. Worse still, said it came with Vista but actually came with XP, and worse still, HDD was split into 3 partitions all running FAT32...arghh - spent last night reformatting and installing new shizzle.
  18. So long as you film in a private location that isn't on a public road then you can do what you like, like doing videos on a racetrack or driveway and i'll assume private carparking places, having public roadsigns in the BG certainly doesn't help! E: That's not to say I condone stupidity though
  19. That's an impressive crash, that tyre absolutely shat itself

    Lucky E30 m3

Haha, and here's me watching it to the end to see if they started getting all jiggy on the bonnet, sadly disappointed. Nice car tho
  21. That would be a seriously cool car to have, just tint it and it'd be pimping
  22. Okay, so I have a good spreadsheet that's tits for calculations. Feed in your specs and slide the slider for a nice little graphical representation. I can't upload it due to restricitions so PM me for it.
  23. Yeah, you would say that, but the coupe looks better - aswell as being slightly lighter
