Just on the fuel pump note, what's the diff between the 2 and 2.5 pumps? Would running 2.5 injectors off a 2.0 pump cause any probs, ie, would lower fuel pressure cause the injectors to function less efficiently???

If the free shuttle service involves being driven in a brand new 760i then i'm all down for that I think any astute person should be able to work out when they're getting a deal or not. Sometimes you have to go through the dealer but when you don't have to you search around and find the deal that suits you. Regarding Shelley's; being involved with the Wellington BMWCC and finding that Shelley's were not interested in holding site visits for BMWCC members (new car launches or whatever) it was a little disappointing, especially since Jeff Gray's in Palmy were quite excited to have us head up there for a day visit which was quite an enjoyable day.

While it sounds funny, it could be flooded. If my memory serves me right, it happens due to the fuel regulator (the part next to the intake manifold with a vacuum line running to the intake) failing and the intake sucks in too much fuel.

Lower milage should equate to less wear, however, you really won't know until you actually use it. Plan on getting a clutch replacement kit, new spigot bearing, new mounts, new seals, and a new shift coupling knuckle to make it feel like new. Look in the maintenance forum in the stickies section for a detailed thread on g/box swapping. Get it right before you stick it in otherwise it'll bite you hard in the arse. E: Oh, and before we forget, you have to make sure you get at least the front half of the driveshaft that matches the gearbox. Automatic front half driveshafts are shorter than the manual ones. Best to get the whole driveshaft for balancing sake.

If your engine has the crank angle sensor (CAS) on the front pulley then you can use any gearbox that comes from an M20. Being a FL 320i this is most likely the case. Gearboxes will have the Getrag number cast on the side, will probably be a 260.

Idle problems are usually casued by either vacuum leaks, incorrect AFM setting, malfunctioning ICV, or malfunctioning TPS. Changing the filter shouldn't screw the idle, more like the rough handling has caused a vacuum leak in the rubber boot between the AFM and TB.

My 2c, but most city parks such as in Thorndon where parking spaces are sparse, fire hydrants are designated with the yellow triangle (as is normal) as well as broken yellow lines to indicate no parking. While you may get used to the broken yellow lines I would say that given the existence of the yellow triangle, which was most likely pointing in the direction of the FH, then you're in the wrong although you could argue yourself out of it and I wish you the best. I've argued out of 3 tickets that were unfair but lost out on a 4th one for parking facing the wrong way outside my house. As for the fire department, they'll just smash the window and push the car out of the way.
