  1. If it has a 4M40 or 4M41 Diesel engine in it, run like the wind. Utter pieces of poo that like to break at regular intervals and are designed to be hard to fix. Bottom end is Ok, but heads tend to crack and warp and camshafts snap.
  2. The proper option code for the full m-sport kit, or M Pack (SA337) often shows up as "M paket" on VIN decoder from the German info.481 Sports seats can be "upgraded" with the alternative Comfort Seats in the M Pack for 5,6,7 Series etc.
  3. Search the forum, loads of threads about M-Sport v non-M. M-Sport Suspension can be removed from the M Paket option, you need to look for option codes 225 or 226 on early cars and 704 on later.
  4. B20 and B25 parts should be the same, PROVIDED it is a motronic B20 and not an L-jet (pre-facelift). In terms of the parts you have listed, the water pump is definately different from FL to P/fl, and I believe the thermostat is as well. Realoem is pretty accurate, it seems to run off an old version of BMW ETK, but again, just make sure you are comparing with the right version of the B20 engine.
  5. I had a Sony head unit back in the day which was the same "series" as that one, but a bit more high-end with CD stacker control etc. The front fascia lay out was the same and the button styles, etc. In all honesty it was a piece of crap that gave me nothing by grief, spent more time back in the shop for repairs than it did in the car. One of the long running faults was the fact that it would cut-out on a regular basis and then turn back on at random, they never seemed to get to the bottom of why it was doing it! Sony used to be a "premium" brand that I really stood by, but that head unit was the start of a bad run on their equipment and now I won't even touch the stuff. As Andy says, most things can be fixed if you're clever enough.
  6. Oi, hybrid, NO!! Don't you come on this thread and start using facts and logic... that will spoil the fun for everyone. Should be able to put what you want on your own car, cardboard box and a sharpie is so much cheaper than that rip-off monopoly. etc//
  7. Dunno what you mean it's listed as "same As M-sport interior / boot badge" so it's got all the important bits..Even though the interior isn't M-sport, and the front MSportII bumper looks to be a replica...
  8. The Mobil, Fina & Jagermeister race cars, and the art car if I can afford it... Cheers.
  9. If you don't sell them as a complete set I am very interested in buying a number of the E30 M3s off you.
  10. BMW NZ have two fleet M235i coupes that you could talk to your local dealer about...
  11. Try Geoff, FIAT 131R, he may well have what you need and is also in Wellytown
  12. Photos and prices on parts for sale need to be added to the thread ASAP.
  13. IIRC the Sport Evo wheels were painted a slightly darker grey on the spokes... but that can be easily achieved with those.
  14. Fails to mention the fact that the pictures are from people taking the piss on Facebook, and the question is always "why the M3 badge when it's not an M3?"
  15. Had a complete brain fart, it is Wayne not Dave.. and no he doesn't have any wheels.
  16. ^^ as above for the Evo 3 replica - the centre flap is moveable to give differing downforce and looks tits. Std = single piece wing Evo II = spingle piece wing + a smaller under piece mounted on the bootlid, not seen a replica of these and originals are $$$$$$$$$
  17. I think the word used to describe these is "unobtainium", if the set that came off your car is still around then you might get lucky. There are a few e30 M3 parts horders in NZ, possibly with Keven Mosen (ex-Mosens Parts in Hamilton) or Dave that had the LHD Evo 3 here in Auckland (I know his car had the original wheels, not sure if he had spares)?
  18. Which type of M3 spoiler? Can provide a two piece Evo III style if you're interested. Fits on std E30 boot or M3 boot.
  19. There is definately a way of doing it, as I have done it before when leaving the kids in the car.. Buggered if I remember how to do it though, it should be in the handbook. it is something like the double press that Allan said above.
  20. Good that you have a positive attitude towards the changes. I thought you were in Real Estate??
  21. Lots more clues point to this being a genuine M3, or if not it's a very, very well done replica! I would agree with the above, probably an owner with an injury or disability to their left leg or right arm. Not sure whether the rarity of an M3 in auto would make it worth less, or more... Can't see many collectors wanting to buy it, as it's not factory, but there may be a few people that want to daily an M3 and would prefer an auto. Easy enough to convert back to manual though... Looks in very good nick so might be worth the effort.
  22. True, forgot about the drags and how 20 cars going in there can cause stationary traffic on the countries main highway...
  23. I have done both on many occasions, especially Brands, BTCC, Euro Rallycross, Superbikes, etc. Depends on where you park and in what car park... Plus I have never seen 170,000 spectators turn up at Hampton downs - imagine if they did? 50,000 trying to get out of Pukekohe after the V8s is bad enough (worse than Brands, but not Silverstone).
