  1. Wow, lucky lady to get there in one piece that would have ended horribly. Things like that are the reason I think the longer period between warrants is a bad idea.
  2. Are your headlights correctly adjusted Ash? I know it is particularly bad in SUVs as they are higher up and shine more into the mirrors of a smaller car in front. Full adaptive LEDs are the answer - put them on auto and forget about them, just watch the light show! They work really well when the dick-head in front has no lights on his trailer and only one rear light on his shitter of a tradie van.. although they didn't appreciate it as much as I did!
  3. What model is the O2 sensor off? Is it a 2-pin or 3-pin connector??
  4. Pros: Reasonable mileage, good condition, service history, NZ new, 330i Cons: Not a popular colour combo, beige leather and wood... Non-m-sport, awful wheels, tape deck, no bluetooth $5k may be a little harsh, but certainly nowhere near a $10.5k car - anyone that puts "tyres nitrogen filled" on their car advert has some odd ideas about motoring. I would put it in the $6k range, he is into 6-cylinder E90 money at his asking. Keep an eye on the $1 reserve silver M-sport 330i auction, currnetly at just over $4k (sorry silly browser won't let me copy a link at the moment) to see where that ends up. Since you asked... FWIW, my wife's car is an '04 330d M-Sport touring manual brought it in many moons ago and the purchase price wasn't much above his asking way back then - but it was from the Uk.
  5. The E36 328i M-Sport coupe came on some very nice BBS's as standard in the UK, I always like them, followed by the M3 Evo Sunflowers for E36.
  6. Original head unit and premium sound system - cool. Whereabouts are you based, it's not listed in your sig?
  7. Cams and chips are supplied by the Race Series, I can pm you pricing if you are still interested. M42 is not that common, lots more of the M44 kicking around from E36s and compacts. No idea on the differences, or how hard it is to put one into an E30...
  8. Wow, NZ$28k and reserve not met!!
  9. Another member, FRT, has installed this into his E90 335i and refers to it as the "best money he has ever spent". I was certainly impressed by the flexibility and functionality of the sytem when I was given a demo of what it could do. The swappable maps is a great feature in my mind, much more flexibility than the usual re-map or chip swap. Hopefully the weather is good on Sunday so I can get a good feel for the improvements on the old seat-of-the-pants dynanometer.
  10. Purple?? Bloody hell, someone at VTNZ is more colour blind than Tom!!
  11. Weren't all the Europameisters painted the same Macao Blue colour? It's quite a dark blue so might have looked black in the light, or maybe not a 'Meister as per plate?
  12. Look like the Comfort Seat alternatives..?
  13. Yeah, maximum image size is 800 x 600 - but I think it gives a different error message than that for size....
  14. Very nice, but USD$15,500 and not met reserve is getting up there.. There are still some good value 325i Sports to be had out of the UK, as there were a lot sold there and they haven't quite taken off in price like the M325i in NZ or the iS in the states (for pretty much the same car). And before anyone says it, they aren't ALL rusted out basket cases
  15. Phone and speak to Ray, I'm sure he will tell you the story behind the car, and what they have done with it at HellBM. I am pretty sure it would all have been done to the best standard, and well looked treated.
  16. Needs photos as per forum rules please.
  17. Very nice car (you see a few on that web-site) but for 150,000 Euro I'd at least want some wheels...
  18. ^^I'm sorry you seem to have entered a forum for proper cars by mistake.. While on the subject of headlights, how f**king hard is it to turn the bloody things on when it's dark?? I have lost count of the number of pillocks that have been driving around after dark without their lights on. Some have been in urban areas where there are streetlights, so they can see where they are going, but it still makes it pretty damn hard to see your black car. Even flashed one muppet when I saw he had no lights on, and he just smiled and waved back - jeesh. Do they not wonder why their dashboard is hard to read...
  19. Personally I would disagree with that statement, having seen what V8 GTR reps have been changing hands for in NZ. Look at the spares list and work out the $$$$s for those as well.It is hard to tell from photos how good a job has been done on cars like these, or any proper replica. But without crawling all over it, this looks to be one of the better ones..
  20. That's not good, where did the parts get stolen from? They are pretty scarce in NZ so if they pop up for sale anywhere I will check with you. I don't have a full engine but I have quite a collection of used parts that I replaced when I re-built my engine (twice) that may come in handy. There is a full motor and box for sale on ebay.co.uk at the moment, and they often pop-up on German ebay or alternatively keep an eye on www.s14.net (mostly US based - but lots more cars there). You can message me a list of what you need and I can tell you what I have...
  21. FWIW... Right car and the licensing system are completely seperate. The information on Rightcar, Fuelsaver and other govt web-sites comes from a database populated by model code, with info provided by the car companies. That is why it can differentiate between an '05 E46 and an '05 E90, engine size, auto or manual etc. The ACC / rego system is set up on a broader level (mainly due to the 1000s of model variants brought in as imports). So the vehicles are classed as, say an '01 3 Series, no problem there. But when there is a changeover, like in '04, both generations get covered the E46 and E90. In this instance any '04 E46 get the benefit of being grouped with the later, safer E90s. So in effect there are some people that are being under-charged rather than over. And let's not forget the whole reason this is happening is ACC have a surplus and are using it to reduce the payments for ALL car owners. Ok, so the system ain't perfect but let's not lose sight of the big picture.
  22. Not stirring, just making the point that you've come in a bit hot there, and this post backs that up.If you want to wage war on the establishment and "stick it to the man" then antsy posts on Bimmersport aren't going to achieve anything. I suggest you back up, see how things work on this forum, and then go again. Oh, and beer and boobies... Mmmm. Wish I was 26 again, or maybe not...
  23. Jamez on here runs the 2K Cup as part of their BBQ Committee, it does seem to be a lot of fun with a group of good guys racing. In terms of the E36, well, if you're happy to run round at the back behind all the Jappas then, yeah, it should be a fun drive.
  24. That's Ok as long as they aren't crashing any of them, they're not making any more of those classics! Product Placement in movies is an industry all to itself now, gone are they days when the film company had to buy cars to use in films! Now the M3 has unique body panels all over it isn't possible to "dress up" a cheaper car to use as a prop. Plus it is cheaper to put a standard car through production than try to build a "special" to save money!
