  1. With the snizzle bits it is a nice looking E30 and worth a bit more than a normal E30 318 auto. In terms of your original post and question, adding a bigger engine and a manual box will only increase it's value (if done properly!!) IMHO.
  2. Catching up with old friends over beers and talking sh*t!
  3. And there were TWO pre-production units brought in, same colour, very similar specs. Possibly been confused as one car? Although one of those did end up in the drain...
  4. 9 of the NZ new cars still had live registrations as at end of December '14
  5. Yeah, I think I saw it advertised as "never lose your keys again" which would be quite cool. A proper GPS / tracker would be better for the car I would have thought..?
  6. Pretty sure ACS didn't make any cars with a 1.8 litre engine and automatic box. Could possibly be dealer fitted Schnitzer dress-up bits added to the car, or transplanted later in its life though? Unless it is a really, really rare and obscure ACS then getting rid of the auto and adding some more power will only increase it's value.
  7. bluetooth signal over 100 feet = approx 30 metres. If you can't see your car from 30 metres away then a tile won't help much surely..?
  8. I believe he is back in Parity Place in Glenfield, round the corner from where he used to be, close to Slater Fabrication.
  9. Shifter linkage is all back together in the car and shift is soo much smoother and precise. Next step to wire in the new electric fan...

I've found that Epic Armageddon IPA to be a very decent drop. It all depends on your taste in beer though..
  11. It's almost a car you want to be sat in the back of, rather than driving.. There is a lot of cool new tech in these, the new "gesture control" looks interesting, as I often use "gestures" when driving...

I can see my trip turning into four weeks of eating and drinking at this rate..!

Mmmm, Terry's chocolate orange now you're talking! You can get them here now - although they get smaller every year!I forgot about Pork Pies, added those onto my list... And Cornish Pasties, and a PROPER Devonshire Cream Tea with real clotted cream...
  14. Agreed, probably worth more than the $500, but your call! Listing the size and offset might help buyers as well. I take it from the tyre sizes they are staggered width, but the offset is important. GLWS.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but the truth is stranger than fiction.. Not much "English" gets made there, but lots of overseas companies have production sites there. Last year the UK built and exported more cars than they imported... and they weren't all MINIs, Rolls-Royce or Bentley (or are they all German now anyway ..). Nissan would be the biggest volume, plus also Toyota, Honda, etc.. And a few F1 cars as well apparently..
  16. The final bolt arrived so I can put all the new race car shifter mechanism bits together now!!
  17. ^^^yup, this. Funny how many people get the power pole bang in the middle of the bonnet! Look away and steer the bloody car.
  18. Never mind the over-priced VW, where are the pictures of the "FINA" M3 from the background??
  19. You can use a Motronic radiator with an Ljet motor - I swapped my engine from one to the other and didn't change the radiator. Will need to swap a few hoses over as well... Not sure if that helps...
  20. 4.44 diff is small case yeah, not medium case?

I think I recognize some of those Tunnocks packets, but not sure they will make it onto my buying list when I am back in the Mother Country. List is.. 1) Spitfire Ale 2) Jaffa Cakes 3) Percy Pigs from M&S 4) A proper balti 5) Cod'n'chips 6) Banks' Bitter Hmm, might need some more luggage allowance on the way back I think.
  22. What option code is showing for the suspension on the car? I think the old code was SA224 Sports Suspension and the newer code is SA704 M Sport Suspension Pretty sure the suspension is basically the same, I have never seen a model that has both codes available to choose, but then I don't deal with E90s much.
