Could be !

Do it Ray, do it..

The paint is durable and does protect the car, but like most things if you don't look after it properly it will get wrecked. It won't ruin the metalwork of the car underneath, but it will ruin the look of the paint. There's more than two frozen black M3s in the country, an Individual Frozen Gey M5 on the way, plus a Frozen Bronze Gran Coupe - same colour as the press shots, should look great in the flesh. Plenty more to follow as well I'm guessing.

Try the new X5 M50d - only .1 sec slower to 100kph, feels much punchier for overtaking thanks to the enormous torque of the diesel. And it's very economical too... if you can refrain from booting it all the time !

On way home from work tonight in Botany, Orient (?) Blue E46 Sedan, with loads of stance on big dished white rims and hugely stretched tyres. Also had the German style lettering on the number plate. A member's car? Looked good!

Good find Josh, even with the German commentary it's still a great watch! Some of the traffic during the race is incredible, especially in the night sequences.. balls of steel those guys. The film is uploaded in 10 minute sections as well, so you can dip in and out of it and watch in installments without having to download the whole thing each time, which is good. Still going to look for this on DVD, let me know if anyone finds it anywhere.

Do you need these for proper race meetings or just for Track Days, etc? I have a set of expired harnesses in very good condition I would let go.

WTF??? I mean seriously, WTF?? I saw about four words and had to close the window! Is that for real? And is that really Shady's TradeMe account??

Looks like your attempts at wiring the dash though brother!!

BMW Team Schubert - 2012 Nürburgring 24hour

Thanks for the link Josh, look forward to watching this when I have time. Is this the full feature length version - looks from the link that it is 20mins long, pretty sure there is an hour+ version of this, which I have been trying to find for a while on DVD? -
Nice car! I've seen you around Palmy a few times, looks even better in the flesh. If I'm not mistaken it used to belong to another of the Palmy members on here.

This.Reminds me - I really must fix the horn in the race car as it does this, usually a sign I am working the wheel too hard as I am getting out of shape - a useful warning to the rest of the drivers that I'm about to spin ?
-
You certain you want a facelift? I have a nice pre-fl with very low Km

Yup, such a good friend that he can't even spell the name right half the time! Very interesting car for the right collector, pictures of the car with Buddy in it would make it a lot more saleable.

the death of BMW M Brand - article
E30 325i Rag-Top replied to M3_Power's topic in General Discussion
Not the best article, but I can see the guy's point. The days of turning up at the track in competitive motorsport in anything remotely resembling road car, are long gone. The E30 M3s or GTHO Falcons of old are so far removed from an ALMS M3 or DTM M3 as to be a totally different animal. Try getting a WoF on one of those without any air bags, etc. Yes, the M Division and M brand has become a marketing tool, but why not, it's all about selling cars at the end of the day whether by winning races on the TV or marketing a car that reflects that glory. If he's mad at the moment wait until he tries to get his head around M Performance Vehicles, which are not M cars, nor are they production cars with M-Sport packs , but a whole new sub-brand. Or perhaps he can look at the modern equivalent of the original M division, the Motorsport Division, and look at some of the cars he can buy from them. Then try telling me BMW has lost it's M soul.. -
Plus the touch up from the dealer would be as the colour was sprayed at the factory and doesn't take into account any fading or changing of the colour, or any respray which may have been slightly off. Better to get an actual match to the colour of your car as it is now from a decent paint supplier. Should cost far less than $50 as well.

Two things: 1) revenue 2) increased production volumes

As Clarkson says Boxster = couldnt afford the 911 then??

Even though I have dumped the PoS Mitsi I still seem to have travelling dramas. Had this happen on the twiddly bit of the Desert Road last night about ten o'clock in the freezing rain.. Bugger can't upload photo from phone! Basically tyre wore through on the inside shoulder and popped! Need to get back to Aucks today as well, grrr! On the plus side no-one got injured and it could have been a lot, lot worse!!
-
Kudos for a really well executed build, and something a little different. Would love to throw an E30 M3 and a big pile of cash at those guys!
-
I've got a 325i (medium case?) diff in Palmy, I think the ratio is 3.64 or there abouts. Let me know if you're interested as it's moving to Auckland on Thursday!

One could be excused for being somewhat peeved at this.

To me it looks like the Lexus jumped up over the keening and kind of landed in through the door and window of the Pontiac(?) which would be a real weak spot in that design. She would still have been moving at a fair pace to get over the kerb and do that much damage! Probably more idiots tried to blame their similarly stupid accidents on imaginary throttle problems than admit they were texting! -
Which is not necessarily a BAD thing.

Wouldn't the scrappy strip the parts off it before crushing it?
