got the 2002 nz new E46 330i touring all rereged etc new plates ,reg and wof drives really nice only done 95k's , recent oil change , near new good year eagle F1 tyres new brakes , control arm bushes gave it a quick clean today next job fit the fog lights (have to change the plug) replace the RR window reg sort some nicer wheels for it maybe the MK motorsports from my 328i e36 coupe etc maybe M-sport suspension from a 2003 330ci

e34 540i have hydrolic brake booster system so no vac brake booster . sounds like the icv is not working properly, but may have a vac leak . also afm can go bad

throttle cable wound out to compensate for a faulty PCV or ICV . icv units stick sometimes , need a clean and lube or replace with another. pcv unit only last about 100k's or 10 years etc and should be replaced . remove the oil cap or dipstick while running and if it sucks alot then its stuffed

they will run without the cam sensor , but will die if the crank sensor fails. what rpm does it idle at , and is it smooth or lumpy? i sell a few crank sensors for these , comon failing part. when it dies is it instant(crank sensor ,ecu etc ) or spluters and dies (fuel pump ) also check the ecu for corrision inside etc have seen a few fail that way or dry joints etc

i think you could be right , might take a while though after everyone is sick of fixing all the $hit on the there late model cars

they changfe part numbers on ecu's like there underwear , they are pretty generic boxes with sleightly different coding programmed depending on the car they are fitted too

you should say prefacelift , old stuff , chrome bumpers etc , not plastic

its all prefacelift stuff chrome bumper bar with the mtec 1 spoiler conected to it prefacelift front lower panel that goes behind it etc

have done this swap before with a 328i engine and engine loom straight into a 318ti with a 5spd etc . pretty straight forward if using a early non ews engine loom ecu setup . you just need to bypass the starter wire where it goes through the ews box. you will need to use the 318ti cluster then get the rev counter reclaibrated (costs about $100) call me if you need more info 021433600

have a look behind the drop down panel in the left rear of the car. large black box with heat sinks on it and lots of wires , 2 large plugs -
yes have the factory round speaker box option if you want , you just have to modify if you want to fit other speakers to them

highly likly worn out camshaft lobes , very comon on the m40 engines. guy at franklin cams reckon they are made from butter

good work i remember those days , done about 4 swaps in my e28 since i have owned it , yea not much room lengthwise in a e28 engine bay , best to strip as much off the front of the engine as you can , fan , hub , p/s pump brackets etc etc look forward to the end result sound insulation should make it nice and quiet
