  1. Yeah figured i'd get a 2.8 z3 shifter and cut a thread onto it. Really came around to love the idea of these golf balls, first up was wtf.
  2. How do they feel weight wise? You reckon it'll go on my e36 ok? *f**kiti'llmakeitfit Flick me a pm with bank acc details.
  3. Hey mate, I'll take those e36 touring badges off your hands? $50 sound good for both? Flick me a pm with your acc details and il put the money through.
  4. My honest opinion, YES! it will look different. But a complete waste of time as those rims will never suit the lines of a 91 let alone the highly elusive e92 wagon...
  5. Was gonna buy it but then 3 people went nuts on it and it skyrocketed to 1500. Someones very keen to buy a uk with 300kms dereg for that price...
  6. FIJI > ALPINE > everything else
  7. hacksaw and flathead screwdriver will work if you cant suss a stud remover.
  8. Yeah I had a quick squiz re that option but i think the issue may be the carrier is too big to fit the crown onto. Plus that would mean i need to find an eta e28 diff which could prove difficult. Unless someone pipes up here with a good idea I'm gonna go with the 3.15 ratio for now and see how that goes, should make a marked difference considering im at 3.73 currently...
  9. I'm in dire need of a lower ratio into my e30. Apparently the e28 eta diff internals are not compatible with non eta diffs? Anyone know of this issue or any way around it if it does exist? End result would be 2.93 in my med case e30 LSD. Lemme know. Cheers.
  10. Building a m52 for a jet boat and want to a couple more horseys out of her NA. Can any one point me in the direction of a short block. Also would be interested in any information on tuning these engines for high performance, intend on increasing the compression.
  11. Can you let me know via msg or on here exactly what is included additional to the long block, also any idea on kms from donor? Can pickup.
  12. partmaster grey lynn easily cheapest retail, or you could go straight to skf bearings (distributor) in sylvia park, they'll normally be able to sell to you if you've got cash. take the old bearing with you to match up.
  13. Anyone got a pair of unwanted gangster thug unit bitchn super lows? Need them for a mates 318i cab but any will work as long as not from a m20 engined e30. Chur
  14. Damnit Brent if only i had the cash right now i'd be throwing that in the touring. Got stung with some hefty fines/charges after some spirited bike riding... If you still have the engine and trans in March look me up.
  15. Pipeline hose shop in east tamaki, probably $5-8 for a length of petroleum grade hose and a couple clamps.
  16. Hi Fellas. I'm looking on here first to see if anyone has any garage space for lease. Am moving out of my flat and the new option has no garage. Ideally I'd need a double space with power available. Although smaller space may suit, need at least enough space for 2 bikes the e30 and tools. Pm me on here or flick me a txt or call on 0211483020. Cheers!

    E24 parts

Cant help sorry, maybe hit up brent "hartge" on this forum he's usually in the know. If you end up with a spare e24 diff let me know i may want to take it off your hands.
  18. I'm having an issue sorting an idling problem with an m40b18. Its worse when cold and coming off revs into neutral (its a manual). Idle drops to 400 and jumps up to 1100 and continues to bounce between this if left to its own devices. If I feather the throttle a tad and let it gradually down it will bounce between 550 and 800. What I've done so far Checked for vacuum leaks - none Replaced leads & sparks - no difference Cleaned throttle body - no difference Checked fuel pressure - Ok I'm about to replace the dizzy cap and rotor as its pretty f**ked, hopefully this will make a difference. Is there anything else I should be considering? There is a blocked air hose to/from the right side of the carb and also a unused 2 pin plug hanging from the same wire as the AFM. Any idea what could be missing here? Also I've noticed that the fuel canister has been disconnected and does no longer exist...
  19. If you're on a budget keep it simple and reliable, maybe the reason a 2nd gen mondeo is in the same price bracket as the japs is because they're simply not worth it. A good condition libero would be a good idea. As with any car if the water pump loses its vanes the circulation is reduced and will eventually lead to over pressurization and a cracked fitting or header tank, its not specific to the 1.8 libero's. Hell even the royal corolla is susceptible to this lack of maintenance.
  20. You're probably right, just saying from my experience the jap imported mazda's dont even feature on the same reliability scale as the nz new ones.
  21. Id avoid the ford focus/modeo if i were you, have worked on countless examples with water loss issues, causing sudden overheating, plus parts expensive and slim pickings. Imo theyre put together very poorly and buying one with over 140kms is asking for trouble. Id say the same thing about opel/holden astras/vectras also 307's and most poorly maintained frenchies - avoid like the bubonic plague. If you want reliablility and cheap parts go toyota/nissan/mitsubishi. Mazda 3's are alright but id avoid the japanese replica, Atenza's and Demio's are put together like a shopping trolleys.

    SP Tools

SP tools are reasonably well priced for what they are as a mid ranged quality tool. Autostop stock them and id be happy to pass on our workshop discount if you want a competitive price. I went with Teng as I know their quality is bested by only a few other manufacturers and their price is a hell of a lot cheaper than snap-on, Stahlwille and the likes. Their spanners are almost identical to snap-on minus the gripping ridges in the open end of the snap-on. Stahlwille's thinner ring end is very handy but not necessary imo, where there's a will there's a way. When it comes to abusing Teng they have a lifetime warranty for any type of breakage due to incorrect operation or manufacturers fault so abuse away. http://www.tengtools.com/finetoolsapi/Fine...%2792620%27/%3E Auckand engineering supplies do a 15% discount for bimmersport members... edit: please don't be a fool and get under a car without stands, you can pick up a pair for next to nothing. A bigger jack isn't safer, just means it'll fall from greater height.
