Here's a couple of good ones we took in the terrible weather on Sat afternoon. Cars are my e30m30 and my mates Motorsport 328i. If anyone can provide some constructive criticism on lighting, positioning etc that would be greatly appreciated, as am gonna have another crack at it with my mates dslr.

Usually a weak solder join is the culprit. Needs a specialist unless you're a careful diyer.

Are you in Auckland? Muffler in good shape? If so ill pick em up asap. Il pm you my details. Cheers for quick reply.

Just thought I'd check if anyone has an unwanted e36 6 cylinder exhaust system lying around that they wouldn't mind parting with. Am thinking of replacing my m43's single pipy with the 6cyl's twin pipes, as a cost effective way of decreasing back pressure. I'm gonna rip the cat out anyway so wanna do the whole lot at once. Without the cat would be ideal but not a biggie, im after everything rearwards of the downpipes including muffler. Also if anyone has any m42 headers laying around im after a set of them too. Let me know what you have.

Nothing better than an e30 m3 IMO (cars under 100k). If money was no worries then This: And also this: Also a DB6 would be nice....

Those are rc090s or rc010s or a combination of the two. Wasnt lucan or someone on the forum selling a set recently?

Have BMW and toyota collaborated before? I was always intruiged at the similarity between m60 and 1uZ.

Would still need to sort a buyer for the rear and spoiler though? I'd be happy to pay 300 for the side skirts and pods. Pm me if this sounds good. I'm in Auckland so can pickup the whole shibang if you guys want me to. Can ship or hold the bumpers, whatever's easiest. I'll PM all of you just so we know we are on the same page. If all goes to plan I'd be looking at picking the kit up end of this week...?

I'm sure you'll miss her. New project in the lines? What did it go for in the end if you don't mind me asking? (pm me answer if you'd like, genuinely interested in sale value of a highly modified e30).

Mobil 97.5 oct = best bang for buck I find bp 98 to be inconsistent and too exp. (the 98 is a title and is not actually 98 octane). Otherwise caltex 95techron with the aa fuel points is the best. I filled up for 198cents a litre last week To be completely frank I'd avoid BP, too expensive and they treat everyone like gas thieves. I JUST WANT TO FILL UP f**k YOUR PREPAY.....

Yup I do, text me 0211483020.

Keeping a close eye on your auctions.... Let me know if anyone else wants to take the bumpers and spoiler from the mtech2 kit as i will definately take those side skirts and pods off your hands.

Racebrakes in kingsland do a good price for oem rotors

Unless you're planing on getting m3 top mounts aswell id avoid it. No appreciable difference except the m3 bush is much stronger. I'd go nolathane standard not eccentric.

New price & updated auction in first post. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...260&ed=true $350 ono for wheels and tyres.

This is rolfe's e30 no?
-
I have one too if you want to bring it round for a squiz. Reside in greenlane.

exactly the same subframe and all. ti's rear suspension is essentially e30 excluding 5 stud hubs.

ABS remains of course. The m52 stability control, only limits the throttle doesnt actually adjust the brakes. Its quite a primitive and annoying setup. You might get some attention at wof centres for the dash light. But the most noticeable gain is a more responsive throttle and freer revving. Also means you can do stand still's....

Here's a full write-up on the same mod: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=303334 You have an m52 so it will be exactly the same unless the previous owner upgraded the air mass sensor which i seriously doubt. Here's where we got it from: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-1916-e36...5i-328i-m3.aspx http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-2236-e36...alve-hoses.aspx You'll definately want the plug to fill the hole the asc actuator will leave. My mate completed the task himself with the above items from turner and $16 of tools and equip from jaycar, and he is not exactly mechanical savvy.

Best option imo would be to get a box fabricated to enclose air filter element from engine bay air (homemade CAI). Im pretty sure josh has done this on his e30. Also look at getting a proper filter (k&n or afe) if not already. What crunchy said about the samco hose is very true, also allows you to eliminate the asc throttle body which is a restrictive part of thr m52 intake.

I'd recommend Autowatch, have them on all but one of our family cars and have never false alarmed to my knowledge, in saying that it is mostly the installers reliability which dictate results, but good quality sensors definitely makes a difference.
