Updated to newer design double slat grill in gloss black

Also that its quite a specific/specialised forum and tbh there is not a whole lot happening in terms of new/exciting stuff so people (mostly long time members) just tend to banter about the little bit of content that we do get. new member sign up probably because there is no promotion or marketing, and low retention because there isnt much reason to stay. Some people join to say hi and make an effort to post, informative or not. And some join to ask a question and bugger off again till next time. To really bring this forum back to life needs leadership, management, and some kind of direction, just like any company or business. At the moment we are just a local lunchbar selling pies and can drinks ticking along slowly, not some michelin star restaurant that is innovative and forward thinking. getting a but off topic sorry

love the rear spoiler. looks fantastic.

its not really a true forum without differing opinions on seemingly trivial matters. all is well
-
you never know but certainly has a good list of basic maintenance. gotta lose that M badge though - M badge police

got a migraine trying to read and understand that. I think im just gonna call it what it is - they are taillights. woop woop.
-
if im not mistaken, the diff between pre lci and lci is this: and the black lines is the addition of the lines that go along the centre part of the light to create contrast between the red and the black
-
they are blacklines .. you can tell because there are.. black lines.. in the centre part of the light between the two white parts. see photo below

easy enough to run on a different pair or set of wheels while that damaged one is getting repaired
-

Recommendations for Personalised Plates (standard vs slim)
qube replied to Sapphire's topic in General Discussion
for normal style but personalised plates its $32~, for Euro plates its $52~, for BMW plates its $82~ all a bit different but $200~ is not too bad for a restyle considering admin costs/manufacture etc. the $1000-3000 cost for a new make annoys me though, it doesnt need to be that much at all. -
Never expect too much from these typical dealer listings to give you accurate information. Dyor!

Recommendations for Personalised Plates (standard vs slim)

Yep. You would have to cough up $149 to remake a set with normal slim and $199 for a long euro if upstyling or whatever the cost is for a new combination. -

you can get "normal" slim plates -
Sorry but I sold my last set of these already and I doubt they come up often as they pretty much only come standard on the M135i if im not mistaken.

A lot of NZ new ones came with the M badge only (both of mine were like this) Jap imports typically have the model designation (our touring was like this) The OP's M badge is clearly an aftermarket add on and hence removal would look best. If he wanted the M badge, can buy a nice new one and stick it on in the "correct" location using hqstu's photo as reference.

you can still go fast, just takes a while to get there
-
pretty sure all these cheap stuff isnt real CF but CF look. i wouldnt care if it was $150 but if it was $500 then thats a big no
-
this. if its really bad just get it painted black also when are you gonna change your username to M4tth5?

Very nice! That M badge on the rear needs to go. (and probably delete the 540i with it for a clean look) Also you should pick up the E39 ABS unit for sale listed here to fix your ABS issue. It needs some euro plates to fit nicely on to the long plate frame!
