check the date on the tyre of the spare wheel. could be 2004 production or something which renders it useless as anything other than a spare and even then I wouldnt trust it for anything other than rolling on haha
-
its certainly a big project, not for the feint hearted... hopefully you can get it right without too much trouble, it will be funny to see a mint looking e46 coupe running 350kms engine but all good haha

how much would sth like this cost? $500? lol

$7k budget for a daily. What are you buying?

Also been keeping an eye on the prices. Its definitely jumped back up or the cheap ones have gone quick. its more so because good/reasonable e46 330ci etc r disappearing from the market. 130 is the next easy choice. -

you can definitely find an S for this money. Not ALL E87's are good, only the diesels and the 130i... and good luck trying to find a good 130 for 7k. seems to be getting harder and harder these days. -
Cant compare 50/16 with 40/18. Will be totally different. Its like the difference between a innersprung bed and a firm futon..

Didnt realise that they were marketing it as ultra high performance.. seems a bit over-marketed imo. The price puts it at a low-mid range tyre at best, but for the money you get something absolutely usable for the average driver. I have them on my current car and had them on numerous cars before and havent had a single issue for day to day driving as well as spirited drives even in the M135i. Obviously was very careful in the wet but that car was powerful enough to spin up RE003's and the general consensus was that only Michelin PS4 or better were able to handle it even in the wet. Once again, I think its pretty simple and clear - you get what you pay for. There is no magic or trickery here...

lolwut? that works out to be like $1000/hr for labour. cant be right. its a 30 min job. 1 hour tops.

this guy has the most exorbitant prices for wheels on trademe. I wonder if he ever sells any but if he does you know hes milking you for every dime

Im going to dismiss this review based on this: "Laufenn S FIT EQ LK01 is an Ultra High Performance summer tire"

can i chuck in a couple things with u?
-
I thought it was 3.5 turns lock to lock --> 3 turns from standard to purple tag rack?
-
Any reason you didnt like the edge? I do feel like it usually requires a top up more so than the hpr5. But could have been the car not the oil
-
is it wheels only and not with tyres? if so, try to get them boxed up individually and send using trademe's book a courier using courierpost or fastway. it might even work out cheaper.
-
your options are: aliexpress, ebay, schmiedmann, turnermotorsport etc
-
Happy to take it off your hands and put 50kms a day for my work commute if u feel that bad towards the car ?

yep, so test fit is pointless. the guard will probably drop in on the tread pattern. its a reasonably good price for what it is. keep in mind you will probably need hubcentric rings or at least plastic sleeves as they *should* be 74.1 CB as they were originally designed for the E39.
-
Its going to be a bit of a struggle to get ET22 to fit on the E87.. typically they like offsets around 40 depending on width of course With a lot of camber, stretched tyres, and rolled guards could look pretty good/stance.

i can get you a bottle of edge 5w30 for about $55-60. let me know @M3AN
