Yea i realised that when i saw it. I did my own digging. Hahaha i meant is the 320d model okay as there were way more 320d compared to a couple 325d options. Are you keen on a w211 e280 for sale? My old man is selling haha

Hi all, I have some left over parts in a box that i dont need. they came off our 2005 E91 325i wagon that had done 45,000kms. I decided to refresh the front end suspension with all new lemforder/meyle parts and then car was written off. original control arms tie rods links etc all here in a box. no shocks/springs. If anyone needs them let me know. located auckland pick up only or you pay for the freight Free

Cheap 19" tyre - Wellington- 275-30-19 Atrezzo
qube replied to Kodachrome's topic in TradeMe discussions
i had 2 single different branded 18" tyres both near new but took me months to sell and ended up selling for $20+ shipping to random as places around NZ even though RRP was $150+ each. -
Factory spec e39 sedan, 2003 production year and M Sport is a must.

not always, you need to see if the earlier model has single or dual stage airbags. if dual stage then yes you can fit the nice 3 spoke etc but sometimes not possible. at least not easily plug n play, im sure some smarter person has hacked it but google can tell you. -
https://www.trademe.co.nz/2012518824 pretty much as cheap as it gets these days. not much difference in price between these and some E46 1.8L varients etc

^if you do want a wagon, then that one is the best you will find no doubt. there is bugger all E39's for sale that are good any more. a 530i sedan recently sold nz new, silver msport 2001-2003 cant remember. sold for around 4-5k. wasnt perfect but was decent. -
now one thing I am not so clued up on is exhausts. This is a stock google image that is 99% similar to my current exhaust set up. there is a metalic rattle noise if i bang on this part of the exhaust but the noise is only apparent when driving over bumpy roads. on a smooth surface it is perfectly quiet. also rev's dont affect it at all. the exhaust hanger bush and clamps all seem fine but while the car was on a hoist, we couldnt find any other issue except the noise when we banged on this section of the exhaust. anyone have any clues about what it could be?

now what? 2 months shipping?
-
yep 8ish. my car was getting an alignment done at autolign around the corner and went for a stroll.
-
thats weird, im pretty sure we did the wiring too or maybe he did the towbar only for the looks/protection. anyway i'll ask him and let you know. you coming on sunday?
-
Ill ask my dad. He fitted his own using a trademe kit iirc. Or ask brent if hes still got it off our wrecked e91 prelci

one thing you could try is to split them into 4x 11kg boxes, DHL likes things to be moved by hand and if its 4 small boxes instead of 1 massive box that a person cannot lift, it costs more as it has to be palletted and moved differently instead of on conveyor belts etc
-
thats a huge difference to my quote but im using a company account that spends a lot more with dhl so i guess its normal.. edit: makes pack&send look cheap now in comparison!!
-
What is the final destination city in USA? this weight and size is not huge, I reckon I can get it sent cheaper using a company like DHL or similar. a global freight forwarder is probably cheaper than using a company like pack&send because they basically outsource it and put on a margin whereas global carriers have the ability to consolidate it into a large shipment/airline etc.
