  1. what we should do is I drive down to wellington, sell Pete my M135 and buy Koda's 130 and drive it back up. win-win-win situation
  2. these numbers sound about right since i was getting 8-9km/l on the 130i. honestly, the thing is a hoot to drive but rides harsh and fuel economy is bad. the 116i sport variant around 2012-2014 for under 15k is a great deal on a new car but the thing is most of them are poverty pack, we were lucky to get a jap one with bigger screen and big display on the cluster instead of the tiny window. also that means better idrive version. its a big difference when you know what you are looking at. 100% agreed on $30k+ for a povo 116/118/120/125 just because its newer and lower mileage. its going to depreciate rapidly.
  3. To think I sold a rust free non sunroof e30 coupe 318i in diamond Schwartz with M technik rear spoiler and rear bumper for 2k.. ahhh
  4. I would not bother with that one for 21k or even if u got it down to say 19k. Different league to the m135. I would be selling mine for around the mid20s. And yes might make the m5 a bit redundant hah! honestly, this car is too good for what it costs nowadays.
  5. Pete, as a previous owner of a 130i and a current owner of an F20 M135i, i would say its a very tough choice between the two cars. fuel consumption wise, the 130i is more thirsty generally, the turbos on the F20 makes the fuel economy much better especially for urban use. On open roads, both are excellent. my M135i is currently averaging 10.9km/l, the 130i I was getting maybe 8-9km/l for same daily commute type of driving. (gf's 116i gets 13+km/l) The 130i suspension rides very hard/harsh and you really need to go for non RFT and preferably 17 over 18 for best comfort. the F20 is much better and you have the option of comfort/sports settings etc. the 130i is a bargain performance NA straight 6 engine BMW that has an old BMW feel in terms of drive but still relatively newish like the E90/E60 series especially given how cheap they are now, as low as 5k for high mileage and only 10k+ for a nice tidy one. the F20 on the other hand is way way newer, comfort access, much better idrive, bluetooth, navigation, music playback, etc etc. its a really effortless car to drive. (btw, my M135i will be for sale soon if you're interested, i'll even drive it down to you haha!)
  6. bump if anyone needs a cheap reliable daily. will negotiate slightly, have nicer wheel options too
  7. that looks nice anyway, something different also
  8. $1000USD on an exhaust for a 323i? man, save your money and get a better car
  9. i need to make a decision on what to do with a new set of tyre purchase for the 116. thinking whether to keep the 17" wheels on it and replace the tyres or use a set of 18" wheels I have option 1 - Dragon Sports 224 45 17 square for $492 @ hyper option 2 - RE003 225 45 17 square $798.70 @ bridgestone option 3 - Laufenn LK01 225 40 18 + 255 35 18 for $612 @ hyper
  10. probably yes, but send a link to the loud/aggressive exhaust please
  11. how are you finding these tyres? wet performance? road noise?
  12. Genuine E39 M5 titanline interior trim all round with black vinyl wrapped gear lever over standard wood trim. Also has the ultimate nice fat 3 spoke m sport steering wheel - best version by far.
  13. The black leather sports seats on this e39 is far superior than “normal” ones. I duno what the difference is but the leather quality and comfort was much better than my old nz new e39 sedan which had the “same” black leather sports seats. So many good things to say about this car. Glws
  14. F20 filter not easily found on us websites. Dealer price isnt too bad $35-40nzd?

    WTB: 135i 6MT

Haha dont make fun of hyundai. Its a serious car brand and has a huge presence in korea. I was amazed actually. Their sub brand genesis is massive over there competing against all the luxury euros and doing very well. The g70 was a nice looking sedan. Glenn come along! Dont be shy
