  2. If it's any interest my standard 1994 540i produced 154kw at the dyno day last year. Keen to see if these provide any real gains.
  3. Maybe you have to have owned 5 M3's Tom? But seriously that is very poor. What's next? Audi? AMG?
  4. We've used both EC and Motor Service in Mt Wellington, can recommend both.
  5. This is a good way to waste a few hours. Tailpipe is a classic car aggregator finding listings from eBay, Craigslist, Hemmings etc. Pretty nifty. http://www.tailpipe.co/
  6. Haha small world! Dave and I were watching his football team play.
  7. Really? No discussion around wider wheels allowed?
  8. We have one of these in the family. Great cars. Super fast, looks timeless and packed with features. Sounds good too!
  9. E39 M5? I know you said smaller, but they don't feel big.
  10. What's the budget? I'd look at 135i coupe or 335i wagon. Or if you can be swayed to MB then W211 E500 or E550 are great and low 20's. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-730809693.htm $25,500 http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-731253979.htm $27,900
  11. E34 is MILES better in this regard to my E36. I thought the exact same, E36 feels soft, E34 is solid, quiet and handles surprising well for a big car.

    Benz E63 AMG

After sitting in the passenger seat for the above mentioned road trip all I can say is wow. I was very apprehensive about the change from E39 to E60, I prefer the looks of the E39, manual transmission and just generally less sh*t to go wrong. But whatever the E60 may lack in looks (and it is growing on me) it makes up for in every other single way. Acceleration is brutal, cornering is tight and flat, comfort is pretty good, space is luxurious, and the sound is brilliant. BMW clocked the game when they made this.
  14. Done some more research, sounds like Type 3's needed coloured rings depending on application. Type 3 CB is 82mm so it will work on both 74 and 72 applications. Green rings (what my wheels have) go from 82mm to E39/74.1 http://shop.ac-schnitzer.co.uk/turquoise-spigot-ring-e39-3573-p.asp Orange rings (what I need or equivalent aftermarket) go from 82mm to E34/72.6 http://shop.ac-schnitzer.co.uk/orange-spigot-ring-3572-p.asp
  15. This is what I'm thinking. Will pull them off again and measure the CB without any rings and then find the correct ring to go from AC CB xx.x - E34 72.6.
  16. This is probably a stretch but interested in the below if anyone has some. Cheers.
  17. I tracked down some rings and the wobble is considerably better but still there. The 18" Type III's have green plastic rings in them already, these were a perfect fit on E39. So I had to use the rings I bought inside the green plastic rings so it goes: wheel - hub ring 1 - hub ring 2 - hub. Is this right? Seems like way too much flimsy plastic sitting in between the wheels and my hubs. Who else has successfully put 18 Type III's on an E34?

    E34 Boot Struts

I knew I should have looked for these on Pelican Parts before placing my order of steering bits.

    E34 Boot Struts

Second hand? Aftermarket? Genuine? What's the best option? Sick of my boot trying to decapitate me. Part number is 51248110327. Thanks!
