  1. If someone asks you are allowed to reply, no worries there. But considering the forum is run off sponsors money, it's a bit rude to throw out what looks like an advertisement without asking first. I'd suggest you brush up on the forum rules. If you don't break any, you won't get anything deleted. I haven't had a post deleted ever.

It's a marketing excercise. When it comes to marketing, $40k is cheap! Look at the free online newspaper and forum coverage he has already had.
  3. No it doesn't. It's accessed from the passengers footwell. Can be pricy though.
  4. They do work with rattle guns though. Maybe not perfect for them, but they definitely do work. A friend has the much smaller 2HP one, and has a rattle gun and a pneumatic ratchet and it is perfectly fine with both of them. So largely for a cheap home compressor they are pretty good. I also worked at SCA a while back and we never had a customer come back complaining it didn't drive any of our tools.
  5. I stopped caring when they stopped selling them in Manual over here. I love mine.
  6. Nobody called you an idiot. It was a nice intelligent discussion IMO. Nobody meant to offend you, but seriously... chill out it's the internet, don't take it seriously. I have read every post, and been following this thread from the start. Maybe you should calm down and not jump to conclusions? Karl's post I believe was a generalisation about certain types of people these days, he didnt necessarily say you were one, just said that "if" you were a whinger he was sick of it. And back on topic, I quite liked apartment living in Thailand but I don't know if I could handle that tiny box in Auckland. In saying that, it's bigger than the 90sqm house I'm in at the moment. But the 700sqm section here makes up for the tiny house.
  7. Jeepers settle down mate, he isn't having a go at you. No need to make it personal.
  8. I have one... that's why the roof is so low
  9. I'm 6'3". I have to drive my E30 like that (almost! not quite as bad) else my head is through the roof.
  10. More specifically it is the earlier model of pre-facelift, up until 1985ish I believe. (Mine has the same, my 87 PFL had a different valance)

I am quite jealous. I would love to have access to a welder whenever I wished haha. You certainly made quick work of it, despite the lack of updates. My project is still a rusting hulk on the back lawn.

Thats some collection of welders... Oh and the car is pretty awesome too!
  13. He is just trying to help. Mods enforce the rules, so he was helping make you aware of the rules. The topic could get deleted if you do not add a price.
  14. He clearly likes what he's had done to it, that's what matters. And judging from the questions it would seem others think it's pretty cool too. It's hardly an outrageous car, it's just a bit of vinyl and a spoiler (which, despite it being pointless, I actually kinda like.)

Video is pretty funny, but gets old fast. Music just not as catchy as gangnam.
  16. Definitely worth fixing! It looks mint.
  17. I've had a few beemers... best cars I've ever driven. Current one is stuffed though... for now.
  18. Sounds like a reasonably minor list if you have any decent mechanical skills, or friends you can bribe into it.
  19. Splitpin from NZFF? If so welcome! If not, welcome anyway! +1 on the pics, everybody loves pics!
  20. I saw one on Trademe a while back for $16990. I just laughed.
  21. If the seatbelt doesn't have any/the right tags on it, they will make you replace. They want to see that it meets the correct standard. They can be a little fussy with things like that.
  22. Does liking the AU falcon make me a bad person? Although I prefer the series II and III without the retarded smile on the front bumper..
  23. It's a type of primer that "etches" into difficult surfaces.
  24. Rubbish. Landcruisers and Hilux's are stupidly over-priced, and realistically not likely to be more reliable than any other car. All the cheaper ones on Trademe are always stuffed, which tends to suggest they are not really reliable, it's just everyone thinks they will be and pays stupid money for them, even when they are already stuffed. The 4x4 BMWs are just as good, and certainly have some much better features than the old landcrabs anyway. I'd imagine they feel a bit less truck-like for a start!
