  5. Hey guys, so sometime next week I'm going to be retrieving my car from Porirua, meaning i'll be towing an empty car trailer from Palmy down to Porirua. If anyone wants any vehicle moved from the manawatu to Wellington region feel free to get in touch and I can help you out for a contribution towards gas Cheers, Paul

  7. I'd check the wiring, very easy to do if you have a multimeter, or just a bulb and some wire.

Potentially headgasket... As I'm 120kms from home. Not that I can get to palmy anyway since the city is pretty much cut-off haha.

    Quick Questions

It was/is leaking straight into the gearbox/torque converter. Smoke seems to be more water than oil, as it doesn't leave residue on my hand if i hold it over the exhaust, and looks pretty white. Never noticed much smoke before except under hard acceleration.

    Quick Questions

So I topped up my oil this morning and put some stop leak in it (i know, bad idea!). Drove home and after the first 5 mins or so it started to lack power, and run a little rough. Now it's blowing out plumes of white smoke when it gets to temperature, and the idle is rough as... Am I looking at a blown headgasket? It didn't overheat or anything, just gradually began running rough etc. E36 318i with the M43B18 NB have done an oil change as I figured get that stop leak out, and it was mostly just running rough prior to that, now is billowing smoke.
  13. That reminds me... I need to order some more
  14. Looking to convert the $300 e36 to manual, so I'm after either a cheap conversion (budgeting no more than $800 delivered to palmy) or potentially a cheap manual e36.. Eg up to $1200ish maybe. Happy to offer up the auto bits on an exchange basis, although I know they are pretty much only worth money as doorstops.. Edit. Perfect one just popped up on trade me. All mine now
  15. I = injected, A = automatic, S = sports? Not sure on that last one. To get it changed you need evidence, eg. Owners manual or a letter from a dealer, and then there is a change of registration details form to be completed. Not sure what Mr # it is, but I do know I've never seen anywhere that has it....

The 2015 Toyota Yaris has a single blade as well. Seems to work awesome on the gfs work car.
  17. NAC used to do half premiums for that exact purpose, not sure if they still do, or if its still half...
  18. Resealed the rocker cover on the e36. Looks like that might have been only one of many oil leaks unfortunately though.

    Quick Questions

They should be lifting your bonnet, to check the firewall for rust, and to check the integrity of the suspension mounts. So a proper wof would spot them, someone cutting corners most likely wouldn't.

    Quick Questions

As far as I can see from here http://www.lvvta.org.nz/documents/suplementary_information/LVVTA_LVV_Cert_Threshold.pdf They would require a cert. if it's not specifically allowed by the above publication then it automatically requires a cert.
  23. Keep seeing a tidy e30 with a bimmersport windscreen decal on the street behind countdown rangitikei street in palmy. Catches my eye every damn time.
