What brand are the shocks? Could you try and find a slightly upsized bush and get it pressed in?

DIY: E46 Retrofit Infrared to Radio Frequency remote control

Very impressive work, bet this will be useful for a lot of people. Well done -
Sorry kid, real world experience trumps your bandwagon hearsay. Try driving a real Type R as it should be driven (hammer down, quickly, around corners) and then your opinion might mean something. Any non Type R is irrelevant and cannot be compared to a Type R, they are in no way the same. I thought my first car was the bees knees too, so dont worry, you arent the only one but you do eventually get over that when you start to drive real cars.
-
Dont bother with the rubbish this kid is crapping on about. Just write in a nice, level headed, cool, calm and collected letter. If they let you off, cool, if they dont, chalk it up to experience.

i concur, write in, advise of bad weather conditions. Maybe it was a combination of some standing water, old narrow tires and possibly some slippery road grime? Sounds like a pretty raw deal if you backed off and straightened up as soon as it happened.

Dont be cocky, its more dangerous than being a "rubbish" driver.

ALso with this, whats the deal with "JM Lippert"? I cant find much info on what the deal with these cars was. Are they a tuning house like Alpina, or was this a one off?

Owned 5th gen Prelude Type-S, An Integra Type R, A Euro R and various other non-R Hondas.... and i currently own an M3 in that price range. Apples and sausages, cant even compare them. Honda is FAR easier than an old BMW to live with daily and a type R will out handle, and likely out drive any BMW you can buy for 16K. You dont like FWD Hondas? Thats your loss, but dont go rubbishing them without knowing what youre talking about. To the OP, good luck with the sale. Its well priced for a tidy facelift, especially in something other than white. Shouldnt take long to shift.

Wow, that leather looks lush. Very impressive work they did to make it look near new. Cant imagine Madeira Violet is very common, certainly havent seen any around here.

ive seen how little space is left around the 12pot in Andys E34, so bugger chucking one in an E36!

Oh jesus, another biased, irrelevant and misinformed 3Pedals rant >_< The new volvos are really nice cars, im sure itll make a damn good daily for you. is it an import or nz new?

Looking good, especially that new top. Night and day difference from the early pics.

Not a bad idea, should work shouldnt it?

Issue resolved. Everything is now lit (albeit patchy, as thats how they rolled in the early 90s).

Fit a new bulb to the climate control unit after work. It took a 12v 1.2watt wedge bulb. Yay for no more groping blindly around for knobs in the dark. I dont have pics because it was dark, but its pretty simple to do. Pull the four knobs off, undo the two screws behind the large knobs, and gently lever off the face panel (i used s small flathead driver). The bulb is top center and pulls straight out with your fingers. Insert new bulb, turn lights on to test, OK. The reassembly is a prick unless you remove the OBC. Without the face plate on the climate control will freely wobble around and will be impossible to reinstall the face plate. Pop the OBC out (there is a small slot in the top of the cubby below the OBD, stick a finger in there and push forward on the OBC, it should pop out). Once this is out, put your hand up and behind the climate controller and push it forward, whilst pushing the faceplate gently onto it. It should clip into place. BEWARE that there is an exposed fan on the back of the climate unit and may be operating for a few minutes after the ignition is off. The fan is in the middle, so try to avoid it (shouldnt cut you but is uncomfortable). Install two screws again, replace knobs (they are keyed so make sure they go on correctly), and pop OBC back in. Done.

Put the fuel savings from it running correctly towards your conversion fund

Yeah, but Redbook is a load of crap and should be taken about as seriously as the Dog and Lemon guide.
