  1. Didn't realise M2 was so cheap in comparison. The only advantage the 1M has is that it's manual, but thats personal preference (I'd rather dct, which iirc M2 is?)
  2. Thats total, world wide. Only 1,200 RHD were made. That's pretty rare. Rarer than most other "M" cars.
  3. My 335i is more exciting than my E36 M3 ever was, not to mention faster, and if i modified the exhaust, it'd sound better. Nothing at all wrong with going turbo. The N54/N55 is a very good engine, despite its unreliability.
  4. I'd still take the 1M for it rarity. Its not "mass produced" and despite the bitching, imo its a special car that was built specifically to be fun. I still think its an M car, because its been tweaked to be better than any standard model, has a bunch of "one off" parts exclusive to it, and has a limited production run.
  5. Hey, im hoping someone might have a pair of good working bulbs sitting around from an upgrade, that they would sell on. Car is a pre-LCI E91, so has the weird bulb with the reflector integrated, like this

    Quick Questions

The angel eyes on my E91 are being weird. Often neither side angel eyes work, but then sometimes both sides work fine. It looks like they have LEDs fitted, very white. Is there something in the control module that turns the lights off if it detects they are LED but resets later? There are no error codes on the dash or in idrive.
  7. Never thought of it like that, lol. its the watermark of my blog/site. Tasteslikepetrol
  8. Drove my new to me, moderately tickled, 335i back from Hamilton. Stoked to be back in a BMW, such a nice car to drive. Bloody good at passing too ?
  9. Be careful of massive pot holes along there too, nearly fallen in a couple
  10. Lol at the SMG book, with the needle buried deep in the redline, with all the "cold engine" lights lit. Not really being a good role model, are you BMW?
  11. How does it even get that? Surely thats just the VIN on the DME, so it could have had the DME swapped, not the engine?
  12. Its a shame the one he reviewed is so poverty pack. He would've lost his sh*t with a fully loaded 750il, so many quirks and features.
  13. Why can't they send the used injectors to a workshop closer to you, if they insist on them? Massive f**k around having to get the car back to Auckland! Dave's on the right course too, lock that "warranty" down hard. I can imagine the hassles if you had to claim that "warranty" though.

    1999 BMW Z M Coupe

IIRC isnt there something about having to own the car for a period of time after having it complied under SIV? Gorgeous car, always loved the clown shoe.

    Quick Questions

You'd need to do some research as to if crank case pressure is an issue. If it was that bad i would expect lots of leaks from lots of seals, so you would ideally want the engine completely degreased and washed down so you can see where its coming from. Its usually fairly obvious if its the valve cover gasket, as itll leak down the low side of the head and onto the exhaust, but no where else on the head.

    Quick Questions

Valve cover gasket? Common on the petrol versions as engine tilts over to exhaust side meaning that's the low point of the head, not sure on diesel but presume the same. Turbo failure would be smoke from exhaust, not engine bay, unless exhaust is leaking badly.
  17. Yeah it's not stock enough I guess as it's running stage 2+ currently. I'll leave it on that tune but being the kid I am, I want to play with burbles lol. Such a shame you can't transfer to another Google account but still be Vin locked.
  18. Hey guys, didn't want to start my own thread so just popping in here. I'm looking at buying a car with an mhd tune on it. I understand tunes are Vin and Google account locked, so I'm guessing I'll need to buy the app and tune myself if I wanted to tweak anything (like playing with the burble)? I'm also guessing I'll have no way to get the stock tune back if I needed to? Would there be any issue with me buying the same tune as on the car and loading it again?
  19. +1 to dont worry too much. My car failed its last WOF on a dirty reflector in the tail light, so not everything is a major. If it were me i would want to look at old wof sheets though and see what it was failing on if its happening every time.
  20. Sounds like OP will never get to enjoy the difference, since they are rejecting the car.
  21. You think, even after all this, that the dealer is going to change what he does? No, he wont, he will continue to rip poor sods off. The dealer certainly gives no f**ks. This is all basically a waste of time, where not even the OP is going to win. I do agree with your lesson though, historic codes are important on modern cars.
  22. Do you have a local auto AC specialist? They should be able to adapt something new like Brent said.
