Mmm, best interior and great color. GL!

Hope my car sells soon, i'd be all over this. Its about time i had a dirty diesel.

My E36 had a rev hang after being converted to manual. Apparently it was common when still using auto ECU and changing to manual one or flashing it to manual software would've fixed it.
-
Use realoem to compare part numbers for e39 and the others, to be sure.

Newly purchased 135i running badly - beginning of a saga?

Either or, at least if the warranty covered it, it would be fixed.... -
No no, its "Rear 5sp" ?

I've flogged this horse a lot with people and I totally agree with you. 50,000km is low. 100,000 is reasonably low, anything above that is just average.

Stop acting like the sh*t BMW pedals is any better than anything else. Its not some magical elixir that will stop everything from blowing up anyway.
-
Oh lordy that looks good.

If thats not rust buggered, i'd be amazed. Its a good price though, even if just for parts.

You've been trying to sell the 525e for a while now, and obviously its not shifted. You're only going to start losing money or giving it away soon, so it seems to me you would be better off just reshelling and sell the 525 bits. Do NOT cut the tags out, that is full retard advice.

I pay less than $61 for a 6L concentrate of Nulon green coolant. $5/L at 50/50, or less if you mix it a different ratio (which lets face it. you dont NEED 50/50 in most of NZ anyway).

I think you deserve more of a roasting for owning a CLS tbh. Horrid ugly "sat on by fat person" things. ?

?Marrakesh brown, even if it is a bit over done these days

Do AA inspections check for stored codes if the CEL isnt lit? -
Jebus, thats way over priced for the KM. You see them regularly pop up for under 30k, like this one, https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1658090791.htm?rsqid=58e050e9557745fca84c5d97b107957c has a warranty even (even if it doesnt say how long).

Congrats, hope we get to see more of it on the forum!

Newly purchased 135i running badly - beginning of a saga?

The biggest problem is just how easy it is to become a registered car dealer, hence the increase in backyard "i work out of a shed to keep your costs lower" shady "dealers", with little to no accountability. The bigger dealers have their reputation to uphold, but there is nothing to stop these backyard dealers closing up shop in one name, starting a new name and selling the same old sh*t. -

If the car was running fine at the time of sale, why would they? Its not like they have a whole bunch of diagnostic scanners sitting around to find/make problems with cars they are selling, not to mention that if they can get away with selling a car thats running fine, without fixing a potential "historic" fault code, they will. I think car dealers are scum, but you guys have an even more unrealistic view of them than i do. -
It says in the listing its not certed, but "done to cert standards" whatever that means
-
Depends on the car and situation imo. Something like that, where anyone could've bid, and its not really that special, go for gold on making a profit. But it sucks when someone looking to make a buck (ie: a car dealer) on an uncommon car snipes out legit people that would own and enjoy the car, just to flick it on for more and put it out of the grasp of the people that actually want it. Even worse when they decide they can make more money selling it out of the country instead, too. I like the look of the F10 M5, especially in white. There is one i see locally that gets regularly fanged, and have seen it drag people off at the lights before, and it looks and sounds great. I'd skip the shitbox (flamesuit on; its ugly, sounds bad and unreliable) that was the E60 and save/wait for the F10 to depreciate into grasp.

I cant help with this, but i'm curious, does low coolant on a E46 trigger the CEL?
-
Sounds like a load of crap to me. Lots of cars running aluminium parts on green coolant, for many many years with no issues. Why is BMW any different? Hell, my Rovers are all alloy engines, copper core radiator, steel coolant pipes.... all on green coolant, and the only issue they have is with the steel pipes corroding due to shitty design and metal. I understand on the newer cars they need the BMW unicorn piss to lubricate the coolant pump or something, but older models should be fine.
