i have a spare set of 17 x 8 et 20 sitting around,tyres are marginal on the front(make that VERY marginal)I am pretty sure they will fit your car.There is only one problem,i am 600 ks away!

4x4 are safe if you have an accident with a smaller vehicle,but because they are relatively rigid you will come of worse if ou have an accident with a stationary object or a lerger vehicle ,plus they have a high rollover risk,meanig you are probably more likely to have your own accident

never seen an E34 deisel....the 4 wheel drive E34 use a different wheel set than al other E34s,have a strange offset.A e34 tds t ix???

they will fit,no problem but you will prolly get a shimmy from slightly off centre wheels

stud pattern is the same and offset will prolly be good too,but the e39 has a 74 approx hub while yours will have a 72.5mm hub.You can get appropriate spacing rings...

keep an eye on TM and the like,nice wheels come up now and then,i got my 17x8.5 in wide BBS basketweaves...please dont wiat 5 years for your next service.My car is very original too,part of the appeal for me,still has the original sony (bmw labelled) stereo!

the sports have a 3.64 diff(the manuals) vs 3.46.Mine does 2250 at 1000 ks.the e24 and e28 x35s had ratios which equate to more like 1800 rpm at 100 k=better fuel economy.BMW did everything they could to extract useable (and cheap)performance out of the old M30 in the e34.Looks a nice car.
