E34 or e 39 or touring or even a 7 series,std height

unless you really really want 4wd and low range there is no need for a prado, pajero, landcruiser, range rover, landrover.Try some soft roaders. xtrail,rav4 4,.Dont overlook a suzuki vitara.Drive many. All the proper 4wd petrol ones will make your eyes water for running costs, but some can be had quite cheaply because of this
-
do you feel its running right now?
-
Bbs 412 if my memory is right 17 x 8.5 et 13
-
dont do anything you cant reverse imho
-
you will have to spend $$$ to get anything "new" and at least you know what you have got....cheer up mate
-
i reckon my (ex) bbs basketweaves with the huge dish would look good on that car too
-
you dont have to have the assist...the basic service info would be enough for me+a clutch ,a gps,and or smart phone, and a forum like this is enough for me too.
-
Yes if you use a fuel system cleaner do it the tank before an oil change, then any residue is gone with the old oil
-
No, 3.8 has the ugly wide grill
-

What a wasted post.this is a bmw forum and the op was about a bmw touring
-
i think the 20 yr comes from the twenty year rule to import cars that dont fulfil frontal impact rules etc. That e34 in the first post is nothing special imho low miles tho."special e34" are 535is,540is or M5.I do like my E34s tho.
-
not really Some say avoid singapore cars, some say some singapore cars dont have heaters hooked up.The main thing with imports is do you know history.Be careful with NZ cars too.Kiwis are not very good at spending money on cars.Make sure you get one that you can get a god service history.Nothing wrong with a 530 unless you are towing a heavy trailer. Take your time ,get to know what the market variations are.I spent a year looking for my first BMW!
-
i wonder if its more expensive to keep in fuel or tyres
-
Must be measured accurately as you can see above the bore diameters can be odd
-
A e39 540 6 speed is a rare car ,probably fewer 540 6 spds than e39 m5s (in NZ)but strange marketing approach alright.
-
my 535 looked similar to that once.Rotor was worn virtually away ,and the inside of the cap was wet with condensation. The repair eliminated my intermittent difficult start issue...surprise it started or ran at all!
-
My e34 stayed relatively flat in turns with a solid turn in if a little tardy, was harsh- ish if the surface was uneven, nice ride other wise, mtech bars
-
He must have cleaned it,last I saw him he wouldnt let me near it
